Will the beacon work with an IR repeater?

I currently use an IR repeater on my main remote to send a IR signal to IR receivers in all rooms using RF. I would like to use the Beacon to send the IR commands to my mobile IR transmitter, which would convert the signal to RF for long range and ability to go through walls and then convert back to IR if the IR signals are repeatable.

will it work with the Virginmedia TiVo box?

Don't know which type of signalling is used by the TiVo remote.

iPad 3 wifi only

Will Griffin Beacon work with iPad 3 wifi only? I'd hate to buy this and it not work.

Does this device work with Apple TV? And would you recommend this versus the Peel Universal Remote?

My brother wants a universal remote for the holidays - which is better: this Griffin remote or the Peel remote? Also, can this device control Apple TV?
