Is this hard drive good for game storage?

I have recently gotten the game ROME: TOTAL WAR for Mac, and I was wondering if this G-DRIVE was a good choice to increase the performance of my mac pro?

    It's good for any kind of storage.

    An external drive is unlikely to improve the gaming performance of any Mac (or PC). The principal performance bottlenecks for games are display performance (drawing all those moving characters in real time), CPU, and memory. Most games are not disk-intensive.

    An additional hard drive (whether internal or external) comes in handy in two situations:

    1. You need more disk space.

    2. You're recording a steady stream (eg audio/music or video); it's best to stream that to a different disk than the disk holding your operating system and application. An SSD disk would be ideal in this scenario (albeit expensive).
