Is anyone aware of a KVM switch that would allow a person to connect two macs (both equipped with mini displayport outputs) to this monitor?

Yes, the Atlona AT-MDP21 2X1 Mini Display Port KVM Switch (Powerless) works great for me. I use it with a Mac Mini (server) and a Mac Pro 8 core hooked up to a 27" apple LED display using only mimi display port cables. I have a new 27: and an older one and it works great with both. Hope this helps, I had a lot of people tell me that there was no such device as well.

  • I have an ATEN KVM switch installed with a Mac Pro, two Mac Minis and a PC running Windows 7. Additionally Windows XP is installed on the Mac Pro. I can select any on of the four computers and run Video on both attached monitors and audio together with audio or I can run audio simultaneously from one of the other attached computers. Alternatively using Fusion (alternatively parallels) from the Mac Pro I can run OSX on one monitor and windows on the other. Only one keyboard and mouse controls the whole shebang. I suggest you you research the current range of ATEN KVM switches where I am sure you will find a solution to your problem.

  • No, sorry. This display can only operate with one Mac or PC at a time.
