Apple LED Cinema Display (24" flat panel)

I have the previous version of the MacBook Pro and I'd like to know if it's compatible with this monitor

No it isn't, the LED display will only connect to computers with the Mini DisplayPort connector. This includes only Unibody MacBooks, Unibody MacBook Pros, Mac Minis and iMacs released in the last year.
