Actually you can. There's now a DVI to DisplayPort converter. It's by Atlona and it will set you back USD$179. Do a search for "Atlona AT-DP200" for more details. An easier way will be to simply buy a new video card with a DisplayPort output.

  • Monoprice might have a display adapter you can use. But they aren't Apple certified products. I would check there, but this display is not hiding the fact that it is meant to be used (almost exclusively) with the current Apple notebook line.

  • yes, you will need to obtain a video card with a displayport output - I believe all the new ATI Radeon 5 series cards have DP support. displayport is obviously electrically compatible with mini displayport. while apple does not currently sell an adapter, they can be obtained - simply search online for "mini displayport to displayport adapter."

  • No, that would require a DVI or VGA to mini display port adapter. Currently, no such product exists.
