I have the Apple IPhone 3GS and want to purchase a bluetooth; which bluetooth should I buy that will also fit the Bluetooth travel cable?

The Bluetooth travel cable only fits the first party iPhone Bluetooth headset, which is no longer made. You are going to need to buy a headset that uses mini or micro USB which do not work with the travel cable.
