Do these headphones completely cover the ears and block out extemporaneous noise?

I own these.
Depending on how big your ears are, they won't cover them entirely with the lobe and the upper arc of your ear being left open to the air and they only partially cut out the noise.
They offer good quality sound with epic bass but only in quiet or lower noise places like quiet cabins of trains or the home, not so much in Starbucks on busy day or CentralPark.
