Well it does have a series of apps a bit like them they are called
iWork apps and the apps are:
Numbers which is like exel
Pages which is like word
Keynote which is like PowerPoint- Answered by Louis H

You can buy/download the Apple apps (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) mentioned in other postings from the App Store. I have not heard of Microsoft coming out with apps for iOS/iPad but these apps do almost everything those apps do and you can open the files on your PC when saved in a Microsoft format.

You can get an app called cloudon. It has exel, word and powerpoint.
