I bought this at an Apple store for my new MacBook for some protection.
Whilst the protection is top-notch the discolouration of my MacBook (less than 8 weeks old) is totally unacceptable. Somehow the colour from inside the case (black) has bled and left grey streaks over the sides of my MacBook, it looks awful. I'm not a happy bunny.

Bought the black one for my white Macbook all the dye has leached into the the casing making purple marks all down the side!!!!!! avoid like the plague :(

Bought for unibody MacBook Pro 13". Purple case with white inside, very soft and furry. The fit is a little loose but I don't see that as much of a problem. I searched and scoured the internet for a case for my new perfect MacBook Pro and the only one which seemed to fit (after having bought then returned a couple) was this one.
Most of the other cases out there for 13" laptops were either too cheap or too slim (most seemed to be for the Air, one of which I tried and although it was perfect material - a memory foam type of neoprene - it was far too tight for a fatter laptop) so I settled on this one, after having a feel in an apple shop.
Inside is very soft, the kind of soft you'd like to sleep on, outside is your typical rough-in-one-direction neoprene, and the fit is... very loose!
It's not a great fit, and when it's being supplied as 'for 13" Macbook Pro' I expect more.
Also, after some very careful use and carrying of my laptop, it's now got a small dent in the lid, aesthetic, but a dent nonetheless, one which my old IBM didn't have after 8 years of carting around in a Crumpler.

Hi.. it's made of neoprene (wetsuit material). Neoprene was designed for divers. It allows water to enter the material, and form a thin layer between it and the human body. This water layer is naturally warmed by the human body and keeps the diver warm. Pretty much a long winded way of saying NUP.. it's not waterproof.
