    I bought the magnetic cover that Apple made for the iPad in red but felt that the back of my iPad was very exposed to knocks and blows, the out side of the cover was such cheap leather it immediately looked marked and scrappy despite the care I took and the inside was down right absorbent. So I then bought a smart and practical as well as much more ecanomical ordinary leather case that cost me 9 quid and wish I hadn't been conned by the hype. …More

    Limited protection, leaks colour

    Clearly this item only covers the screen, so for back protection you'll need a smart cover compatible skin/cover at extra cost.

    I knew this when buying, but I still found the item attractive as I liked the 'cover that turns to stand' idea and that it fires up the iPad when opened. The magnet is really strong and the design there is excellent - I can pick up the iPad by the cover without it disconnecting and the connection area shows no marks after a lot of use.

    The downsides - the red leather has leaked colour into the clear case I got to protect the back, which now looks a mess. Also, the angle when near vertical isn't that great, and it does leave four lines where the fold hinges come in contact with the screen that I find I have to wipe off regularly.

    I suspect the colour leakage is due to the leather (as opposed to the synthetic alternatives) but on a white iPad with a white or clear case the red smudges really don't look great. I'm just glad I've got the additional back cover because I'd be pretty angry if it dyed my iPad red.

    If I was to buy again I would get another smart cover but I'd stick with a synthetic one and save some money. It's just a shame you can only get a red one in leather.     …More

    I love it because I expected it to do exactly what I knew it does. It is a front screen cover for the iPad. It isn't meant to protect the back. That's why it's just perfect with a hard case for the back. It's stylish and functional with the way it folds to become a stand. Looks wonderful in red. And besides you've got to know that being leather it changes with time. So far it hasn't left a mark on my iPad like some users said it would. And as for the inner part, it is kind of absorbent, but the thing is, just don't place it on top of a dirty and greasy table top. …More

    You can use a variety of things to clean it. I've used lens wipes, microfiber cloths and various other soft cloths like old t-shirts. The glass on the ipad is pretty hard but don't use anything that's abrasive. Stay away from any harsh chemical cleaner. …More

    Yes;
    Also, depending on your mix &/or personal iDevices (iPods - iPhones - iPads) one can have logos, text, hybrid text & logo OR any graphic(s) incorporated into ANY cover, albeit an Apple store leather or poly cover through Targus to Kenneth Cole.

    If Apple can't support your request, then research/identify a local or 3rd-party to provide best quality & potential volume cost saving. Good luck, next it's just ovewhelming to select which font, colours, etc. :D
