Dirty and expensive
I bought this bumper to replace my first cheap bumpers, believing the Apple-product would be better, but shortly after starting us ing it, it has turned all brown on the matte surfaces. That means my iPhone looks dirty! I have not yet been to the Apple-store to ask what to do, and agree with the other one writing that it cannot be cleaned. It is simply now, a green edge, with brown sides. NOT good! Maybe the black one is ok, but dont buy the colored ones, they are far too expensive for the ugly look they get after few days of use …

Good design, bad materials
The two tone look of the bumper is ok. The soft rubber seems to have got engrained with dirt that I can't seem to clean off. I d on't know why because I don't take it near the dirt. Disappointing as otherwise the bumper is great. …

poor endurance
i got the bumper on release date along with my phone and it is now pretty much in pieces, i have to remove the bumper for my phone to fit in the dock and to use the aux cable in my car and taking it on and off has made the rubber around the age warp and in places come off completely, not worth the money, didn't even last 6 months …

Brilliant case
After reading about the scratching issues that people had I was hesitant to buy this product, but it was the only minimalisitc gre en case I could find. Personally, I have experienced no issues with the bumper scratching the bezel and my bumper rarely is removed from my phone apart from the occasional cleaning of the inside.
The reason it lost a star is due to the colouring. After a while the bumper gathers a bit of browny, what I can only presume to be, dirt. I haven't been too badly affected by it and a month or so after purchasing my bumper it still looks great. The discolouring is only noticeable if you look out for it. I found the edge of my nail can help remove some of the brown discolouring.
If you are unsure about the bumper, I say go for it! Make sure your phone and the inside of the bumper is free from dust before putting it on. …- Written by Ryan M from Magherafelt

Not suitable for use with Klipsch iGroove or Pure i20 digital docks
We found that the iPhone 4S cannot connect to any of our docking stations with this bumper. The bumper looks natty, but it holds t he device too far away from the contacts to let it charge or be used in either of our docks. …

Unsure?
I was a little unsure whether to buy a bumper case given the mixed reviews, but in the end I purchased a couple of them and I'm ve ry pleased. I am using the bumper with a rear screen protector and it works a treat.
The bumper protects the steel around the phone from being scratched and lifts the phone off the table ever so slightly, I'm not sure how people claim their iPhones were scratched by the cover, I can only guess its from taking the cover off and dirt getting trapped when refitting.
Still not sure? Take the leap, you won't be disappointed.
