Ideal product for Technical Support of Macs

    Written by DD from Dukinfield

Apple Remote Desktop 3.3 is an ideal tool for anybody who manages a number of Macs whether it’s monitoring a classroom of students or providing Tech Support to users over a network spanning different buildings and even different sites.

Rather than using the inbuilt VNC features of OS X to manage client machines. ARD allows admin staff to carry out management of clients remotely (a gift in a multi-site environment).

ARD allows you to rename machines, install applications, change startup disks, copy files to users, monitor activity using the handy built in reporting tools, asset management and the ability to help users logged in at any site within an organisation.

The purchase of this application has made my life as Mac techie and the response time for users so much better and I would recommend this product to anyone who looks after a number of Macs in any environment.
