The World Travel Adapter Kit includes a USB power adapter, a 30-pin to USB cable and a set of six AC plugs with prongs that fit different power points around the world. For world travellers, this is the perfect kit to ensure power connectivity in most countries you may travel to.
The Kit is designed to work with iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple MagSafe Power Adapters (for MacBook and MacBook Pro), Portable Power Adapters (for iBook and PowerBook) and AirPort Express.
The AC plugs included in the World Travel Adapter Kit directly support power points in North America, Japan, China, United Kingdom, Continental Europe, Korea, Australia and Hong Kong.
Please note: To use this kit with devices that use a Lightning connector — such as iPhone 5, iPad mini and iPad with Retina display — you will need a Lightning to USB Cable, sold separately.

Some of the bits are redundant (you'll already own at least one of them) or superfluous (a separate adaptor just for Korea?). You may find it more appropriate to buy non-Apple adapters that you specifically need.
More vitally for me, it's missing the last remaining adapter that it needs to truly be a 'world' kit, that is, an 'empower' adapter for use on international flights. Come to that, why not include a 12v adaptor for use in cars?
Come on Apple, throw in the 'empower' adapter and make this kit truly global! …

Now updated for iPad

The USB cable included is now the new style with the squarer ends.
For my money, this kit is much better value than the iPad charger itself - for an extra £5, you get a complete set of international plugs, and all you lose is the rather bulky and heavy 6' extension cable.
It would be nice, though, if Apple included some sort of case to keep all the bits together - even a simple drawstring bag would be nice. …

Full of unnecessary bits

If, however, you've got a couple of devi If you've just bought your first iOS device and want to go abroad, then this is great.
If, however, you've got a couple of devices that came with the USB chargers, then if you want to buy just the 'duckhead' plugs, you're spending a lot of money on a charger you don't actually need.
Similarly, given that iPad and iPhone now charge using a Lightening adaptor, the charging lead is also pretty useless.
Thirdly, if you're after just on or two of the adaptors (say, European and US), then you're probably never going to use the others.
It would be a lot more use if Apple sold the 'duckhead' plugs on their own, even in packs of three - if you're going to the US, you could buy just the US adaptors; or if you're going to Australia, you can buy just the Australian adaptors.
Instead, you're going to end up paying for a lot of adaptors you're probably never going to use - and heaven help you if you want to charge an iPhone and an iPad at the same time in somewhere like Australia, because you're going to have to spend £70 just to get two tiny adaptor plugs.
Hardly good value. …
