Does exactly what I want
I needed a secure and reliable drive for backup. I bought this one and I'm very happy with it. The design is excellent and the dri ve works very well. It's quiet and fast. It came with all necessary cables and 10GB of cloud storage. I think it's an excellent solution. …

Great form and function
Picked up this from Apple store today and formatted using LaCie utility software built on hard drive, no sweat. Then set up as Ti me Machine back up. Did the back up in no time at all. So far so good. No problem. Got funny little rubber feet you have to stick on yourself - that's quite weird. Apart from that all is gooood. …

Easy setup, not sure about the design
I bought this as I had had a frustrating experience trying to format a Maxtor One-Touch to operate on my Mac. it was certainly ea sy to set up and operate. However, this Porsche design may be elegant, but the case is simply an aluminium oblong with sharp corners that are uncomfortable in the hand. Fortunately, i only need it as a desktop external drive, as I dislike the feel of it and wouldn't want to handle it for portable use. I would have preferred to do without the porsche design and save £20 or so. But it does work well and that's its saving grace. …

Excellent portable drive
I do a lot of design work for clients, and as a "one-man shop", I also have a fair share of face-to-face time with them. So it's i mportant for me to exude a confident and well-designed look when I go into a meeting. The Porsche design of my P'9223 fits in well with my Mac, complementing its excellent technical features. …

Good Drive
After comparing physical sizes, storage capacities, interfaces, and looks, I opted for this Porsche drive for my "mobile" tech sup port business. With the P'9223, I get the storage space that I need, a USB 3.0 interface that doesn't waste my time, in a package that's compact and very well designed. …

Yes. It is not a DVD drive, though. It is fine for backups and general file/folder storage, viewing photos or videos that you have stored on the drive.
