Overview
Intuitive
Download AR.FreeFlight 2.0, the free control application, from the App Store in iTunes and you're ready to fly. By tilting your device, you control the direction of your AR.Drone, and by releasing it, the AR.Drone is instantly stabilised.
Record and share in HD
As you fly, the HD video is recorded and sent directly to your device. With one click, upload your video from the user-friendly interface seamlessly to YouTube or share your pictures on Picasa. With the new piloting application, everything is simple and done wirelessly in an instant. For pilots looking to shoot longer videos, a USB plug-in has been added for larger recording storage.
Pilot like a pro
Thanks to the AR.Drone's autopilot feature, anyone can be an expert as the embedded sensors allow for easy take-off and landing. The new AR.Drone 2.0 also features the exclusive and patented Absolute Control piloting mode for beginners that can be adjusted with your growing expertise.
Explore more
With the new AR.Drone 2.0-generated WiFi N Connection, you can fly as far as 50 metres away. The AR.Drone 2.0 pressure sensors on-board provide unique stability that will automatically correct and maintain a still position in the air regardless of altitude and wind up to 15 mph.
Join a community of pilots
Keep track of your flight data, location, photos and videos and share them with a community of other pilots from all over the world thanks to the AR.Drone Academy. Check who is flying in your neighbourhood or watch videos from pilots at the other end of the world.
Acrobatic
This flip move is exclusive to AR.Drone 2.0. Become a daring pilot and perform barrel rolls by simply hitting a button.
Indoor and outdoor hulls
The full hull shield protects the AR.Drone from impacts that occur during wild battles against enemies hidden in the rooms of the house. The streamlined coloured hull is aerodynamic, allowing greater control outside.
High durability and easy repair
AR.Drone is made of carbon fiber and high-resistance PA66 plastic. You can replace all parts for easy repair.
Augmented reality games
Not only can you see what the AR.Drone sees with the front-mounted camera, you can play a wide variety of games in augmented reality. AR.Games are available in the App Store in iTunes. Choose from a selection of single-player and multiplayer games, using the AR.Drone's camera and the augmented reality applications. Shoot enemies or other drones.

Fantastic toy, even better now at version 2
This helicopter is extremely easy to fly, huge fun and the onboard video cameras (two) and telemetry are a nice touch. To fly pro perly you may benefit from buying a 3rd party app (there are plenty available with reviews) and there are other hardware upgrades for longer flight times and better performance if you so wish. A great product only slightly let down by the inherent range (think also altitude) limitations of WiFi. …

Very simply- fantastic! Just a brilliant piece of equipment!
With its twin cameras and very easy controls I recommend the AR Drone 2.0 to everyone looking for some easy fun with there Apple d evices, I use an iPhone 5 to control mine and the compact HD display of the 5 makes controlling it a doddle.
Anyone who says this isn't a great bit of kit is either too old, too daft or too impatient to fly it, after all, it is a very sophisticated thing, so you have to have some basic knowledge or even just an idea of how to fly or drive something to use it (just get on Tom Clancys HAWX or Forza on your XBOX or PS3 if your having troubles using it, that should help you out).
The only thing I would say though is if you don't have one, BUY ONE! …- Written by Ryan H from Peterborough

Great fun and very durable
I've now owned this drone for a short period of time and it is one of the best app enabled devices out there. Even in the realm of RC quadcopters, this is one of the most sophisticated products and of very high quality. The relatively short flight time per charge is my only issue with it. I have not found range to be a problem, but perhaps I haven't pushed things far enough. Video streaming directly to your iOS device will hog some of the WiFi bandwidth and therefore may impose limitations on range or video quality and smoothness. I would therefore suggest the use of a USB stick for the purpose of recording video. You will not be disappointed by this drone. Thoroughly recommended!!! …

Great Product, shame about FreeFlight
The actual hardware is great, and the applications available are good. However, I can't help feeling that FreeFlight should still be here. It was removed from the App Store over a patent dispute and the joystick control, although wonderfully precise, isn't anywhere near as fun as ducking and diving your iPad around. …

Unbelievably Bad
I can't think of something else I've bought for £280 that is as shockingly bad as this. The construction is flimsy, the craft is u nresponsive, the user's manual is unintelligible, the battery lasts for about 4 minutes before needing a recharge that takes one and a half hours.
All in all this device is a complete waste of time and money. I would advise anyone considering one of these to think again. …- Written by J E B from Cirencester
