Ratings & Reviews

  • Brilliant!

    5.0 out of 5 stars

This has got to be the iPhones match, its absolutely brilliant! I would recommend to anyone to go and buy one if you have a iPhone 4. Its form fitting and you can actually hold the iPhone easier than just holding it by itself!

  • Nice Job

    5.0 out of 5 stars

Nicely styled to match the iPhone 4, but does make it a tad more bulky. This doesn't bother me any as I like the styling. Ideal fo r days out or longer journeys when no charger is available especially if using the screen a lot for photos etc. Offers good protection. Trawl the net for a cheaper price. Recommend.

  • Black case review. AWESOME CASE!!!

    5.0 out of 5 stars

This review is for the black version of this product. I have reviewed the white version noting that it was made of a cheap plastic coated on metal. I thought i'd review the black version as its the one I have now.

Im extremely happy with this product, granted I have only had it for perhaps a week but so far I'm very chuffed. The soft touch rubberised feel to it is nice to handle and it doesn't slip off surfaces.

The cutouts for the volume/silent buttons/switch is of decent size and still allows easy access to the buttons (i have small fingers). The cutout at the top is much better than its previous design because now you can use 3rd party headphones instead of the Apple ones.

The USB connector is easy to access and neighboured to this is the battery level indicator. One press of the button shows you how much charge is left (I'm assuming 4 buttons is 25% each button)

Not that you should need to remove the case much but its very easy to remove and put the case back on again. One very attractive part of this case is when I'm not wanting to charge the case but rather just use my Apple Universal Dock, it fits in with room at the front if you remove the bottom part of the case (the part with the 30 pin connector).

Calls, texts, 3G, WiFi and everything else still works with the case on. So i havnt noticed any dip in signal or WiFi signal when wearing the case.

All in all I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to when my iPhone 4S's battery is running down with the flick of a switch on the case I can charge it back up to 70-100% :)

  • Shouldn't complain...

    3.0 out of 5 stars

Mine's just packed up, & I'm trying to decide whether to replace it with another, or the Juicepack Plus instead - as the latter's much heavier, I'll probably stick with the 'Air'. I've had mine just under 18 months, & still had a fair amount of power. I thought the micro USB port was the problem, but when I took a closer look at the inside of the lower part of the case, I found that where I'd been removing it from the rest - which was no mean feat for some time - the inbuilt however-many-pin plug that connects to the bottom of the iPhone had got damaged - the plastic was grazed & the metal bent. This happened where it came away one side before the other - not that I removed it that much. The main part of the case can be hard to remove too, so I guess the 'Plus' would be even harder. Having said that, I now don't fancy less convenience with an external top-up pack. Fairly resilient: only a couple of scratches to edge.

  • Has great potential, but very unreliable - 3 dead in 9 months

    2.0 out of 5 stars

I bought a Juice Pack in March 2012, and in many respects I’ve been pleased with it. At first, I’d have given it 5 stars. There’s a very big BUT, though. It’s been replaced twice by the vendor because the micro-USB port has failed, and the third one is dying after less than 9 months. It tends to stop connecting for data first, so it’s not possible to sync or backup with the phone in the case. Then it stops charging properly, so that I can only charge (if I’m lucky) by wrapping the cable tightly around the case to keep it taut in the socket. Maybe I’ve been very unlucky, but it looks to me like a poor quality USB port. the device is clearly not fit for purpose if the USB ‘s durability is measured in a very few months.

  • powerful juice, but not durable

    3.0 out of 5 stars

it good design to juice your iphone when you use your iphone as camera or play games outdoor for a whole day. however, after few months, it won't juice up to 50% your battery. even worse, the bottom of case easily get loose, then the bottom pin won't connect so well with juice pack, so there will be problem fully charge the juice pack, and sometime it come off when you charge your iphone. This kinds of quality only worth up to £30.

I always joke that I can't have nice things, but when it comes to phones, it is unfortunately true. My iPhone 4 is the first "nice" phone I've had, and my juice pack case/battery has probably saved it from certain death several times already in the month I've had it. The case itself (white, of course) is looking a little worse for the wear, but judging from the cracks in the corners (which have Not affected ifs performance) my iPhone would have been kaput by now. So I think it's safe to say that yes, the Mophie will indeed protect your phone from being dropped, etc. :)

    Yes.

You can Sync, Charge the phone and the battery pack with the provided USB cable.

I have o ne and it is pretty decent. I get about a full charge on a fully charged pack. Although my battery pack does release quite a bit of juice if left unused. I left it once for 3 days and when I used it, it charged about 55% only. Which I guess isnt so bad either.

Well considering what you do on your phone greatly alters the amount of battery life used its hard t o say. However I can say its adds twice the amount of life. Without using my phone and having it attached it has lasted up to 3 days and even then still had life. Using it a lot I've managed to make it through an entire day plus another entire day once it finally ran out of juice and power only came from the phone. Overall I say the amount you pay for this cover is very worth it. It practically doubles how long your phone usually lasts. I give it 5 out of 5 stars.
