UTTER WASTE OF MONEY

Despite reading all the warnings here about Quicktime Player Pro. I went ahead and bought it today because I was desperate to do a little editing on a 3 minute Quicktime Movie. I expected a product close to the editing functionality of the FREE Windows Movie Maker. Quicktime Pro in comparison is utterly, utterly useless. Absolutely NO STARS at all but the rating will not let me do that. I want my money back!!! …

The Fix is In!
It blows me away that I can spend hundreds of dollars for the video ipod and it doesn't even come with software that allows it to It blows me away that I can spend hundreds of dollars for the video ipod and it doesn't even come with software that allows it to play something in a format created by its makers(Quicktime)!!! What a ripoff. Apple has really disappointed on this one. I actaully bought this junk QT Pro 7 version because it was touted to convert QK files to iopd format WITH SOUND...no such luck. EVen after reading many posts and buying another converter (AVS video converter) I still only get the video to play. No way to unmux the file...any more suggestions? …

Quicktime export is slo-o-o-w
Greetings, I purchased QT7 to export & downsize a file, and lighten the video. My QT6 key only works with qt6.

I was expecting some optimization of Quicktime's filters and expotr, but it is very very slooooow. I do not recommend it for this type of work. I'm exporting from Digital Fusion, which is less convenient, but 10x faster.
I would like to see Apple improve this software. Quicktime and the image viewer both initialize slowly as well. …

This is awful. DONT DO IT!!!
I wanted to edit some a video I took on my IPhone with windows movie maker but it the program wouldn't MOV files so I downloaded t I wanted to edit some a video I took on my IPhone with windows movie maker but it the program wouldn't MOV files so I downloaded this to try and do the same thing but it's rubbish. I gave up making the video with QTP and tried instead to convert my files with it, but the end result was terrible quality. I tried loads of different settings and nothing worked. This is so user unfriendly it's a joke. What a waste of £22 and 3hrs of my life i'll never get back. …

Crashes every time I try and export my video
I've used Quicktime pro before so I wasn't expecting a full featured editor. I just want to export my quicktime movie to a differe I've used Quicktime pro before so I wasn't expecting a full featured editor. I just want to export my quicktime movie to a different format. However, each time I get about 30% of the way and then it crashes with "an unknown error". I have huge amounts of memory and disk space and have tried pretty much every format possible.
Quicktime Pro sets low goals and fails to meet them. …

Easy to use and good quality (on a Mac)
A lot of the reviews for this are from Windows users, I suspect this utility may not run so well on a non-Apple OS. I have used it on Leopard and Lion with no problems at all, unlike many of the alternatives it is simple and straightforward to use.
If you upgrade your computer the QT 7 licence will still work even though you may have to re-install the software. …
