I agree with so many other reviews-the sound is amazingly good for such a small set up. The design is good and Apple delivered 23.5 hours after online purchase!! My only niggle is the remote does NOT change playlists- I think it reads made up playlists as blanks or something-For the quality of sound I can live with this as it sits close to me but it makes the remote of limited value which is a shame at this price. …More

The sound quality and battery life are the two most improved features. Though I rate the product very highly the cost is not reflected in my performance review.I can see the need to increase the price but currently I believe the mobile feature and sound improvement which though there is hard to detect at all times does not in my humble opinion justify such a cost increase. …More

No - You would have to buy the SoundDock® Portable digital music system that has a lithium battery.
It is a lot more expensive at £349 !!!
