I have Aperture 1.5.6 - do I need the Aperture 2 Upgrade ($99) or the full version ($199)?
I bought Snow Leopard and then tried to download pictures and found out the hard way - I need a new version of Aperture. I have Aperture 1.5.6 - do I need the Aperture 2 Upgrade ($99) or the full version ($199)?
Is there anything else that will have a problem with the new Snow Leopard.

Yes you need to upgrade to version 2 but you can download a free working trail for 30 days to see if it works with Snow Leopard before you by the upgrade at £64.00 best of luck!
