    Worthless

Three months old. Eats up batteries far too quickly. Same for the mouse. Brand new batteries and continued "Connection Lost" resulting in last key press repeating endlessly until "Connection established" again. Wasted way more time fighting this thing than its worth. I'll stick with my extended USB board with a numeric keypad. This one is going straight to the landfill.

Case that protects the power button

Firstly, this is an excellent keyboard. I'm a very fast touch typist (I can keep up with most words in a typical lecture) and it is a pleasure to type on. I use my keyboard to take seminar, meeting, lecture, etc. notes using Pages on either my iPhone or iPad and with the keyboard. Other times I use they screen keyboard on the iPhone/iPad, so don't use the keyboard all the time. When I don't use it, I power it off. And this is why I'm giving the keyboard only 3,not 5 stars. When I carry the keyboard in my bag, in a soft case, the insanely sensitive power button gets bumped which turns on the keyboard, and keys then get bumped which has random, undesirable effects (like blasting music at inappropriate times) on whichever one of my devices it happens to pair to. I have not yet seen a good case that protects the power button. All available cases are soft and are open on the sides. I really wish someone would make a simple, inflexible plastic box that the keyboard fits in nicely. The cardboard box the keyboard came in has been my saviour so far - but how long will it last? Tupperware people - are you reading this????

    Best keyboard ever

I think this is the best keyboard ever. It's beautiful and easy to type on. I love the way the keyboard takes up hardly any space yet it's still a full keyboard with space between the keys. It goes along with my Magic Mouse really great.

Bought to use with my MacBook and ended up buying a second to use with my Apple TV. Lightweight with nice key action. Wish they would make one with a number keypad.

    No numeric pad

Working in InDesign, I need the numeric pad to make keyboard shortcuts. No numeric pad=no short cuts. That means slower work with this keyboard. I do like the light, wireless, clean(!!) design. No crumbs are stuck down inside my keyboard. Loving it. But working slow. . .

I read some of these reviews and quite frankly I was a bit irritated! First of all let me say that this keyboard is the best I have ever used. The feedback you get from the keyboard is perfect. Not to light or heavy. The design is great! If you turn off the keyboard there is no issues during transport. Let me end by saying that if you are looking for a great keyboard that won't brake the bank then look no further because you found it.

Rounded up to a two, but really APPLE is not using hardly any of its design skills on this one. AA Batteries, really? They couldn't figure out how to make it chargeable? because I'm pretty sure they have the chargeable-small-device thing figured out.
also, the thing starts warning me that batteries are low when they're still almost half charged. So now it's been warning me regularly for the last month and a half, it's pretty annoying. And there should be a keyboard lock built into it so it does not turn your laptop on when you accidentally hit a key (or which happens easily in your backpack.) Aside from being super-irritating I think this drains the keyboard batteries. To get around this you need to always remember to turn your bluetooth off on your computer when not using the keyboard, and/or take the batteries out of the keyboard. lame!
BTW the keyboard itself works fine to type on, but if that's all I needed I would buy a corded one and save some $

I liked this keyboard a lot until the batteries corroded and fused the battery compartment shut. Apparently this is a common failing of AAs. The 'sleek' design is now working against me as there is no way to get it open. Had to buy a whole new keyboard!

    Great keyboard...until it inexplicably died

I didn't use it that much and it worked great for a while but this morning, it inexplicably died. I've had it for less than a year.

I'll be buying a cheaper bluetooth keyboard if this is what the reliability will be.

    Watch out for the batteries

I use this with my iPad while travelling. It's excellent EXCEPT
    1) There is no cover for it and hence it's very difficult to protect the alphabet keys from becoming dislodged while travelling
    2) If you don't use it a lot the batteries will do the dirty on you! It's then impossible to remove them. So one forgetful moment means a new wireless keyboard

YOU MUST TAKE THE BATTERIES OUT IF YOU ONLY USE THIS OCCASIONALLY!

PLEASE APPLE - make a cover for this wireless keyboard for travel purposes so as to protect the keys.

The keyboard is nice and most importanly is very compact. No questions - I love it. It has one downside: power switch. I mean you can turn it off and on, but the stupid keyboard turning on by itself while I am carrying it my backpack on the way to school, and the most terrible thing it turns Itunes on, so I walk like a boombox (tanks God Ipads are not that loud) till I notice.

    Functions great, but not durable.

I bought this keyboard about a month ago and I use it exclusively with my iPad. I carry it in my back pack in the laptop section of my bag. I've had to replace three keys already. I couldn't find a sturdy case for just the keyboard only while searching online, so I built a sturdy wooden box out of oak boards and lined the inside of the box with foam that I picked up at a craft store. I definitely recommend getting a case for this if you plan on carrying it around like I do. Otherwise, you'll be paying about $6 per every key that breaks.

Needs backlit keys like the Mac laptops

It's okay. No complaints from me about battery life or reliability. Nice weight and balance to it. The keys do seem to attract grime and dirt easily.
Biggest problem is that it needs the awesome backlighting that most of the Mac laptops have. (I would happily sacrifice tons of battery life if that's what it takes.) The backlit keys of my MacBook Air are so awesome, yet when I hook it up to the TV and take this wireless keyboard to the couch I lose that great feature.
