I just received 3 of these adapters in the mail. I had purchased the iphone 3G and already had the original iphone. The adapters do not fit into the original dock. I tried every possible way to insert the adapter - nothing works. I may be stupid about these things, but I do have a degree in mechanical engineering.
the 3g iphone fits into the adapter, but the adapter does not fit into the dock. It is advertised as a UNIVERSAL adapter. Perhaps there may be other docks for which this thing is designed - but something is wrong.
