Best AnswerIf I could do it all over again, I would not have spent the extra money for the leather case. It doesnt look any better the faux leather case. I do not feel it is worth the money.

Best AnswerIt is alternating fields from electromagnets that erase magnetic data like on a credit card. The permanent magnets in a Smart Cover will not do that in normal use.

Best AnswerScreen has fingerprint-resistant oleophobic(oil-resistant) coating. A screen protector will shield it from scratches and chip(if something sharp is dropped onto it)

Best AnswerNot sure how you mean. It is a simple but elegant cover that covers the front of the iPad2 glass. That's it. It folds back into a triangular shaped configuration to act as a stand to prop the iPad2 up for typing or viewing video.
In terms of a wireless keyboard, one can certainly be used, though it doesn't "fit" into the cover in any way. The cover simply covers the glass or props the device up at an angle. When propped, you can use a wireless keyboard to type on just fine.- Answered by Steve W from Felton

Is the thickness of the Ipad2 smart cover the same for leather as is for the poly?
I have a case that I wish to use for an Ipad2 with the smart cover attached, that is designed for an IPad1
I am sure it will be ok to use with the Ipad2 with a poly cover fitted, as the overall thickness is about the same as the Ipad1. But I am not sure if the leather one would be thicker?- Asked by Mark S from Nantwich

My daughter gave me an iPad for my recent birthday and I wonder about a cover for it. Does the iPad Smart Cover work on all iPads? Does it completely cover the iPad for travel?

Best AnswerThe Smart Cover only works with the iPad 2. This is because it attaches to the iPad 2 using magnets. These magnets are only in the iPad 2. Also, the Smart Cover only covers the front of the iPad 2 (the screen). There are 3rd-party cases for the iPad 2 which cover the back of the iPad 2 and still work with a Smart Cover.

Best AnswerYes, The Smart Cover does work well with a sticker on the home button. I have a home button sticker on my iPad 3 and my Smart Cover works just fine. The sticker makes the Smart Cover stick up just a tiny little bit at the bottom where my sticker is because my sticker is domed. However, that does not effect the function of the Smart Cover turning the iPad off and back on when closing and opening.
If your sticker is flat there should be no problem at all either.

AnswerYes! Just fold it in half so you are gripping on the leather and you're ready to go. In fact I always fold mine in halfas it grips better and the cloth isn't sliding around

No. It will not work with iPad1. Smart covers are for iPad2 and the new iPad because of the little magnets inside of both iPad2 and of the smart cover.
