No. The plug is the standard plug featured on the power adapter for the macbooks, so you can't use it with non-apple pcs laptops.

do i need a converter with the world travel adapter kit when/ the country has 220 power? Please keep answer simple w/o jargon like 'brick'.
World Travel Adapter Kit given to me as a gift. We travel widely throughout the world. Converters are heavy. Do I need to bring one along to use with the World Travel Adapter Kit? I am not an electrical engineer, and would appreciate a simple answer.

No you don't. How to tell when you do and don't: read the label on your hardware (Mac, hair dryer, whatever). If it says "110-220v", then it will accept either voltage and only needs an adapter. If it ONLY says "110v", then you need a converter also (to "convert" the foreign 220v power to 110v).

Does this come with the adapter for use within aircrafts?
- Asked by Virginia C from Penrith
- Oct 26, 2009
- Flag as inappropriate
Answer
That would depend on the type of aircraft power outlet. Although some aircraft still have the regular aircraft socket, many now use AC power outlets. If the aircraft has AC outlets, then this kit should fit all outlets. If the craft uses the traditional DC outlets (power sockets), then no.

Will these adapters work with Airport Extreme (not Express)? If not, what kind of adapter can I use for Airport Extreme in the UK?
I need to use an Airport Extreme that I have to set up a network for a training demonstration that I'll be giving in the UK. Can I use the UK/Europe adapter for this? It seems to have the same connector in the power brick as, say for example, the magsafe does. But Airport Extreme is not listed in the list of compatible products (although Airport Express is). From what I can see between the two (Express and Extreme), there isn't a difference in voltage. But there must be a reason why Express is listed, but Extreme isn't, right?

Does the IPAD accessories come with a LAN Cable to connect instead of Wifi or 3G?
I am going to Berlin and taking my IPad2. My hotel room will have a "blue cable" which allows a wired connection to the internet. Is there an adapter I can use to get internet access on my IPad in my room through the cable rather than having to use wifi in a pulic place.
Thank you,
Ellen- Asked by Ellen A from Saint Paul

Best Answer
No, there is not adapter and it's technically impossible for there to ever be one with the current iPad/Pod/Phone 30-pin port.
What you can do is get an Airport Express which is very portable and use it at home to increas the range of your wireless network and take on the road to create your own wi-fi hotspot when a cabled LAN connection is the only thing available. One of the best $99 I've spent.- Answered by Scott B from Smyrna
