Best AnswerIf you're going to carry it around than get the iPad mini but if you're just going to use it at home than get the retina display iPad also if you don't mind carrying something big around than again get the retina display iPad.

what is the difference between ipad 2 second generation and ipad 3rd generation?
- Asked by Juliana A

- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnsweriPad 2 has a dual-core A5 chip, iPad (3rd generation) has a much powerful chip, dual-core A5X chip.
iPad 2 has no retina display, but iPad (3rd generation) has it, making the resolution much higher than iPad 2 and HDTVs.
iPad 2 takes 960 by 720 photos using the back camera, iPad (3rd generation) has a 5-megapixel camera, so that it can take pictures clearer.
iPad 2 has no intelligent assistant (like Siri) built in it, iPad (3rd generation) has Siri in it.
Currently, iPad 2 sells only 16GB (Wifi or Wifi + 3G) models, iPad (3rd generation) is no longer being sold, but if you are okay with refurbished product, refer to the refurbished section of Apple website.
Hope it helps!- Answered by Yap B

Should I get the new iPad or the iPad 2
I am in the process of buying an ipad. The only things is which one ipad2 or the new one. For extra vision is one of my concern. I will not be using the new ipad for great amounts of photographs.
My uses will be emails, skype and googling. Thanks for your answers.- Asked by Enid B from Chatswood

Best AnswerFor you, the iPad 2 is great. The cameras on the iPad 2 are sufficient for video calling and casual photography. Also because you will only be doing casual web surfing and checking emails, you should not need the fastest processor or a lot of storage. The 16 GB iPad 2 should be a great option for you.

Is the ipad wifi better than the wifi+4g?
- Asked by Ama A from Richmond
- May 25, 2012

Best AnswerThe only differences between the iPad with WiFi and the iPad with WiFi + 4g is that the iPad with 4g supports wireless data on a network like AT&T or Verizon. The rest of the hardware is the same, and the battery is life is the same when doing the same tasks on both versions of the iPad. In short there are no other differences.

iPad mini, iPod touch, or iPhone?
The iPod Touch seems extremly fun, and with all the new features, useful and portable. Meanwhile, the iPhone still seems to be calling my name, although the idea of an iPhone is slightly confusing to me. But, during this dilemma, the iPad Mini is beginning to look very apealing. What should I get? Personally, the iPhone doesn't seem to be too useful for my age group, and I think I would be afraid to use the iPad Mini in public, but the iPod Touch seems like a small burden in my pocket, since you can't get data plans for them. Advice?

Best AnswerIt depends...... if you want it to call on it an I phone would be best because an I pod or I pad mini the minutes would cost a lot. With the I phone you can get unlimited it would be a lot cheaper. If you don't like to call and talk to people and you want something more portable get an I pod. You can text on it and fit it in your pocket. If you have a purse or you want carry it an i pad mini is a really nice product, but it is expensive.
I recommend getting the I pod because it is affordable and portable.

What happened to the 3rd gen iPad? The 2nd gen iPad is still for sale after the 4th gen release, but not the 3rd.
I bought my 1st gen iPad after the 2nd gen was released, and hoped to save a few dollars by buying a 3rd gen now that the 4th has been released.

Best AnswerYou can buy a refurb iPad 3 for $379 on the Apple Store website. From everything I've read, Apple refurbs are unbeatable. Same 1-year warranty, new battery and shell. Plus, you could use all your "old" chargers and accessories with this iPad.
