There are a few different ways to read ebooks on your iPad;
1.apples iBooks app provides free and paid books download these by first downloading the app then going through the store and choosing a book then download it/ buy it and read it in the library section of the app.
2. Download the kindle app for ipad or use the amazon website for more information visit google "kindle for ipad" and chose the second link. This will take you to amazon and here they will explain the process.
Using kindle requires an amazon account and iBooks runs straight of the money (paid books) from your iTunes account

can you delete built in apps?
I would like to buy an ipad, but don't need or want some of the built in apps. Is there any way to delete built in apps? If not, that is inconvenient and as a consumer I would recommend adding that in on the next generation ipad, ipod touch, and iphone. Thank you.

Yes if you touch the app and hold you finger on it and shake the app and then drag it to where you want and to make folders you drag it on top of another app

Which version of iPad or iPad mini?
I want to be able to read pdf's during my commute and edit them - ie highlight them, add notes - and bring that to classes. I would also like to use it to create presentations. Battery life is somewhat important, but I don't care much about the weight or screen display quality (I can't tell the different between iPad 2 and iPad 4 if I don't know which one I'm looking at). Screen size is somewhat important - it doesn't need to be huge, but I want it to feel like it's an improvement over the iPhone.
Also, are all app's available on the app store for iPads compatible with any of the iPad2, iPad 4, and iPad mini?- Asked by Kristen S from Glenview

With the "notes" program,can you transfer notes to your computer as a Word document? Does the "dictate" option work with 3G or only with wireless?

You can click the share arrow at the bottom of a note to email it to yourself, and then copy and paste the email into a work document.
