This may seem like a stupid question, but I got one of these with my new ipod nano 5th gen. What does it do? Does it keep it vertical? Whats it for?

this is for devices you may already own or purchase that play, charge, etc. your ipod nano the device should be shaped the same way as this adapter and you fit it in and makes it easier to plug in the nano because the charger is on side of this model and is centered on most devices and classic ipods. It is for connivence so every time you go to plug in the ipod you dont have to try and line it up which could also result in damage to your ipod or device.
