what secuirty software do I need for my new I-Pad? Have Norton for my PC. Is there somehting like this for the PAD?
- Asked by Heike R from Groton

Best AnswerNo, you will not need any security software, as apps for iPads are regulated by apple, and are usually 100% secure. However you may have a concern for attachments, but these files are incompatible with the iPad (for example .exe files cannot start up - Windows applications, scripting viruses will not work either)
But you may also be concerned about web browsing. Most websites that you visit should be secure, but if you have concerns, there are probably other browsers out there that may offer more protection.
Hope i helped.

Best AnswerYou don't need an antivirus for the iPad. It already comes with built in defences to stop attacks and malicious websites. Although, it is vulnerable to tracking cookies but these can be easily removed by navigating to Settings, Safari and then clear cookies and data.

Best AnswerYes, you can have several if you wish;
Either you may sync your email accounts via iTunes or
Manually enter the credentials into your iPad itself. The iPad has a set up wizard for this.
Open 'Settings' and scroll down to 'Mail, Contacts, Calendars' and select.
Click on 'Add Account' and you will be presented with several popular options such as, iCloud, MS Exchange, Google Mail, Yahoo, MS Hotmail, MobileME and Other.
Other would be the option you would choose for add your own provider's POP or IMAP eMail account.
You may run this set up wizard for as many email accounts you wish.- Answered by Peter V from Sarasota

Should I get the iPad Mini or another iPad model?
This will be my first tablet purchase. I would be using it mostly for web browsing, social apps (Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter), shopping apps (eBay, Amazon), taking photos and videos, and FaceTime calling. Thanks!

Best AnswerAccording to your description the ipad mini will be good. It will satisfy all your needs perfectly.
If you do video/photo editing, or gaming, or reading a lot, or simply want to experience the retina display, then go with the 4th generation ipad.- Answered by Zhiyun Y from Wollongong

iPad mini or iPad 3?
OK. So I'm going to college in the fall, & I'm choosing to buy an iPad for school. I'm going to Community College part time, & I'm planning on getting an iPad, wireless keyboard, & stylus so I can either write notes or type them, get eTextbooks, etc. Now I would just like to know which tablet would be better for school. I like the portability of the iPad Mini but I like the screen size of the iPad 3. Also, I would be buying the iPad Mini new, but the iPad 3 refurbished from Apple. I currently have an iPhone 4, 160 GB iPod Classic, Apple TV, & I've owned almost every generation of iPods & iPhones so I'm no stranger to Apple products. I've also been using my dads 1st gen. iPad recently, and my mom has the iPad 2. I like them both. I'm just wondering what anyone could say which would be the better buy? Thanks!!

My company would like to use facetime as a customer service tool, what would be the best ipad this?
We would like to give our customers the option to see our products and speak to a real person who can answer any question they may have about the product.
The use of the device will be purely for facetime (and possibly skype),
We would like to know which ipad would best suit us?- Asked by Robert J
- May 17, 2013
- Flag as inappropriate
AnswerTo achieve this, you will need an iPad 2, New iPad, or iPad with Retina Display. Also, I would personally use Skype, because it is compatible with almost every computer and mobile device. FaceTime is only available on Apple devices. Even if you do use Skype, you will need an iPad as I mentioned above. I would suggest a 16GB New iPad (3rd Generation). I believe that they will still sell them at Best Buy. The color (White or Black) is up to you, and so is the case. I hope that will be a successful tool for your business!

We are considering the 32GB (refurbished) 3rd Gen iPad or 16 GB (new) iPad for a 13 yr old but can't decide - please give me some opinions?
- Asked by Paul D from Sherwood Park
- May 13, 2013

AnswerI suppose this just depends upon the amount of media the 13 year old will have. If they have an iPhone or iPod, I would go with the 16 GB simply because he/she can store media on those devices and leave the iPad open for apps for school/leisure.

- Asked about: Lightning to 30-pin Adapter
AnswerNo, this is a Lightning to 30 pin (dock) adapter
It allows you to connect older iPhone cables (30 pin) to your new iPhone 5 or iPad 4 with a Lightning connector.
If you were using a 30 pin cable to charge the older phone, you can use that cable with this adapter to charge your new phone.- Answered by Trevor I from Victoria

Should i get a 32gb or 64 gb ipad?
- Asked by Anthony D S from Brisbane
- Sep 23, 2012
- Flag as inappropriate
Best AnswerAs you may have guessed; it depends on what you use it for. However, that being said; for the most part I believe that you should buy the most memory that you can afford. Especially when you consider that the difference in double the memory in this case is only $100.00. If you have previously owned an iPad prior to the retina display, whatever you had on your device, since the New iPad is retina, the applications have been optimized to take advantage of the retina display which equates to larger applications. This means that even if you don't add any additional apps other than the ones you previously had, the amount of memory needed will be increased to support the optimization of the apps to work with the retina display. Flexibility is key, and 64 GB gives you that. Another way of looking at it is: As my mother used to say: "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it." So, 64 GB is my recommendation. Flexibility.
