Best Answer
Not directly as the iPad does not have a USB port. You can use a service such as Dropbox. Connect the thumb drive to a computer, transfer the desired data to your DropBox account. Dropbox synchronizes the data across all of your devices. Available in the App Store.

how can I transfer or convert my powerpoint presentation to iPad?

Best Answer
Apple makes a great app for iPad called Keynote ($9.99 in the App store). it is a presentation maker/editor designed for the iPad with support to import a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation and convert it to a Keynote Presentation, automatically. You can also choose to export the presentation as a PowerPoint presentation if you need to the best way to get this presentation onto your iPad would be to move it to a folder in your Drop-Box (a cloud based service) and open it up on your iPad via the Drop-Box for iPad app.. If you don't have a Drop-Box account then just email it to yourself and open the received email on your iPad and open the attachment in Keynote. You can read all about keynote on Apples website or on the App's page on the App store.

The easiest way to accomplish this is to get an iCloud subscription ( Free to sign up ) . This way you can keep both devices in sync with each other with Applications, Notes, eMail (dot ME ), Reminders, Photo you take with either the iPad or iPhone, Bookmarks and Calendars.
This sync can occur over the air too which means you are not relying on either your Mac or PC.- Answered by Peter V from Sarasota

what is the difference of the ipad 3 and the new ipad with retina display?

Best Answer
In March 2012, Apple introduced the iPad 3rd-generation with Retina display. They called it "the new iPad".
In October 2012, they introduced the iPad 4th-generation, with the same Retina display. They're now referring to the iPad as "iPad with Retina display".
So in essence, both the third and fourth-gen iPads have Retina display. It's just the fourth-gen is much faster, sports the new Apple Lightning connector and supports more 4G LTE bands in the world. The differences are minimal. It's more of an iterative release than a revolutionary release.
So to summarise the iPad line-up today:
- iPad with Retina display (aka iPad fourth-gen)
- iPad 2 (without Retina display, now two generations old)
- iPad mini (the smaller iPad).]
And the third-gen iPad is now no longer available, having been replaced by the fourth-gen. Think of it as the MacBook line-up, if you may. You have the MacBook Pro with Retina display, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air. One with Retina, one without, and one much smaller.- Answered by Adam L

If you download CloudOn - this will give you Word, PowerPoint and Excel. It's a bit difficult to get used to using it but it's great to be able to use the applications. You will need to download Dropbox first as this is where the documents will saved. Hope this is helpful.

- Asked about: Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader
Answer
No. Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader will only import photos and videos to 4th Generation iPad or iPad mini. It will not write files from iPad to SD card. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library. From your Mac or PC, you can then transfer photos/videos to another storage device.
