The iPad mini does not feature a retina display unfortunately. Retina displays use more power than normal resolution screens (the reason the iPad 3 gets so warm) - so the mini would have had reduced battery life or bigger batteries that would have made the tablet thicker and heavier if it had a retina display.
Hopefully the iPad mini 2 will address this disappointing omission.

You do not need a cable to connect your iPad mini to Apple TV. Just download the Remote App from App Store and while your iPad Mini and Apple TV are on the same network, you can control Apple TV from your iPad MIni.

It is very useful, as the Ipad screen becoes a giant Trackpad for Apple TV and you can type using the on screen keyboard.

Yes yes yes, all my products are refurbished and they are perfect. They are refurbished by the people who know it best, if you want to get something and you can get it refurbished get it refurbished. It comes with the same warranty and everything and you can get apple care if you want(I don't think you can engrave it but that lowers the price when you trade of in) hope I help!:)

If both are on offer -- i.e. price is not an issue for you -- there's no contest. Get the iPad 3.

Its camera is better.
It offers 4G, while the iPad 2 has only 3G.
And the 3's display is *ridiculously* better than the 2's.

The only non-cost reason to not get the 3 is that the display is *so* astounding you'll find it annoying if you ever have to go back and look at older displays!

As you may have guessed; it depends on what you use it for. However, that being said; for the most part I believe that you should buy the most memory that you can afford. Especially when you consider that the difference in double the memory in this case is only $100.00. If you have previously owned an iPad prior to the retina display, whatever you had on your device, since the New iPad is retina, the applications have been optimized to take advantage of the retina display which equates to larger applications. This means that even if you don't add any additional apps other than the ones you previously had, the amount of memory needed will be increased to support the optimization of the apps to work with the retina display. Flexibility is key, and 64 GB gives you that. Another way of looking at it is: As my mother used to say: "Better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it." So, 64 GB is my recommendation. Flexibility.

If you are planning on putting lots of movies, I would suggest a 32gb. If you would not use many apps, and not many movies, 16 gb. It really depends. You wont be able to use the whole memory because some of it is used for the Operating System.

Retina Display is a brand name used by Apple for liquid crystal displays which they claim to have a high enough pixel density that the human eye is unable to notice pixelation at a typical viewing distance. The term is used for several Apple products, including the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and MacBook Pro.
