    Don't stay in your ears

    • Written by from Kingston

I received these headphones as a gift about 3 weeks ago and I was very excited to use them and thought that it would be better then a single ear headphone. I tried the 3 size of buds provided and they just don't stay in my ear. I want to say that I have pretty normal ears, but these buds just slide out as soon as you move you head. It is very frustrating and now I'm not even using them because I get frustrated that they fall out all the time.
I want to change them, but not sure if they take them back

    Ear agony.

    • Written by from Ceres

I don't understand whose ears Apple used for the design of these new earbuds? Spock? Dumbo? Prince Charles?

My ears are in so much pain after having no other choice than to use these while I wait for my new pair of earbuds to arrive in the mail.

The only way that I could get these to fit comfortably, would be to pulverize them with a hammer and pour the dust into my ears.

Apple makes a lot of money...the least they can do is provide the consumer (the reason you are rich) with a decent pair of buds that have interchangeable tips.

Thank you and have a nice day.

    Ear tips NOT replaceable!!!!!!

    • Written by from armidale

Great sound etc. BUT I have lost one large ear tip. OK so why don't I buy another one? I can't because Apple does not sell replacements. Generic ones simply do not do the same job. This is why I'm only giving it one star!!!

RETURNED 3 TIMES.. DISTORTION & DROPOUTS

    • Written by from Staten Island

I love apple.. I love the Earpods, I love the iphone i love my Macbook Pro, but MY experience with the Apple In-Ear Headphones was TERRIBLE.. I literally exchanged them 3 TIMES and ALL THREE either the sound cut out, or there was distortion in one ear (at low and high volumes), or a high frequency drop off in the other ear to the point where it sounded like everything above 10kHz was rolled off... (I'm an audio engineer)
I'm returning the Apple In-Ear Headphones AGAIN and replacing them with either the RHA or the Beats ear buds... and either of those BETTER not have the same problem, otherwise i'll never be purchasing earbuds through Apple ever again. For the record, BIG TIME APPLE FAN... but from my experiences, they really dropped the ball on these Headphones

    SOUNDPROOF!!!

    • Written by from Glasgow

The sound is good its the soundproof, it is so loud when people are around you. I was listening to a guys tune on the metro and it was like listening to him holding a speaker and i could even to sing along to it. At least you can do well with beats because i have no problem with them.
Worst earphones I HAVE EVER USED!!!

    Not worth it

    • Written by from Waipahu

I thought that at $80, these would sound better than the free set that came with my iPhone. Playing the same song on my iPhone, I tried all three sizes of silicone in-ear buds, pushed and held them in as far as I could comfortably handle, and they still didn't have the frequency response of the ear buds that came with my iPhone. They sounded like they were EQ'd for AM radio. Fully unimpressed. If I can't return these for full credit, I would trade them straight up for the cheaper ones.

some of the worst headphones i've ever owned

    • Written by from Atlanta

These headphones are poorly constructed and designed. For the first few weeks, they did sound decent... when they were properly sealed and in my ears. That being said, these do NOT want to stay in your ears. The earpieces included are very limited in selection, and none of them make a proper seal for longer than a minute. After a few weeks, wear and tear on these headphones became evident, though I had been no more rough on them than my pair of standard apple earphones. About a month in, one of the connections to the headphones became damaged, and sound only played through one earpiece. Through them in the garbage where they belong. Buy a pair of Shure or Etymotic if you really want some good in-ear monitors.

    Un-recommended (mine have been returned)

    • Written by from HARPENDEN

For £65 and considering they are a Which best buy, I was really expecting these would be a lot better than the standard headphones that come with the iPhone. Sadly they're not. Not even on a par, but actually a lot worse. The music totally lacks base, and sounds very tinny - like you'd expect from a little speaker. Have returned and am awaiting a refund.

    Beware

    • Written by from New York

The sound quality is no better than the standard Apple earbuds. They fall out of my ears when I run / walk no matter which size ear tip I try. I'm returning them. Not a good value.

    Don't waste your money

    • Written by from Glasgow

I wish I'd seen these reviews before I bought these headphones a month ago. The site I purchased thru didn't have this much feedback. I'm very disappointed in the lack of bass...the earphones that came in the box with my iPhone 6 have better sound quality, but won't stay in place. I've tried all three tip sizes that came with this earphones and these still won't fit properly or give the sound quality I'd like. I don't know if I have really small ears or the tips don't give enough variety of sizes for a correct fit. Based on some of the reviews I've read here, I may have to try some kind of replacement tips to see if it will help. Read all the reviews herecarefully before you consider if these are for you.

Bad! DO NOT! I repeat DO NOT buy these

    • Written by from Weymouth

I bought these a few months ago because they looked really good and thought they might be better than the ear pods that come free with iPhones. Man was I wrong. The speaker on the left blew out within a couple weeks and I had to use one of the replacements that come with. The ear tips keep popping off like crazy. They give you replacement ones for those as well and I went through all but one of those. Then, the cord itself frayed and exposed the wires.

Needless to say, I went back to the ones that come free. Those are way better.

    Not Good

    • Written by from long beach

I had the other ear phones that cost $30 and they were way better, these in ear ones aren't as comfortable and these don't last as long at least in my case, not worth the extra money.

    No replacement parts

    • Written by from Maroubra

The earbuds constantly pop off. Apple does not offer replacement tips (despite it being illegal to sell goods in Australia without replacement parts). If they do give you replacement tips, you are made to feel like they are bestowing a great favour upon you. Better off going with Bluebuds. They sell ear bud replacement tips at a reasonable price with no fuss and no Apple attitude.

    Don't work

    • Written by from Scotland

Have twice had to return these headphones as they simply do not work. After about a month, the right ear stopped working completely on both occasions. If you are thinking £65 seems fair for what is bound to be a reasonable product, given that Apple tends not to produce rubbish, don't be fooled. Spend a bit more and get a better pair, or buy a pair for a tenner that will absolutely do the same job, if not better. Seriously.

    Terrible and Overpriced!

    • Written by from Needham

    Terrible replacement buds.
The buds' shape won't fit in many people's ears due to the design. Better if some sort of form sleeve was used for proper fit.
Because of the improper fit, you have to increase the volume of the iDevice to hear the sound and that there's hardly any bass.
By increasing the volume, one can go deaf over time!

Do yourself a favor and buy a competitor's brand. Better yet, spend More money to buy a Better qualify earphone set!
NO! Dre's, Bose, Skull Candy and other "name brand" units do NOT count as "quality" items but crr@p!

Returned the item to the store.
Went and got a pair of Sony earphones, which isn't that much quality but good enough for basic use and it had better fit and bass.
A decent pair of earphones would cost >$200! Pricey? Yes, but, isn't your ears worth yet? Heck yes!

    bad earphone!

    • Written by from KLN

bought iPhone 6 and of course with earphone, and that earphone was not functioning well (buzzzzzz on the right hand side) so I went to change a new one. Well, the staff was ok to change a new one to me, and no more buzz. Seems everything ok, i can click play, vol down n up, but just for few days!!!!! and can't use anymore! so I have to touch my phone to click the music to play..........
regarding the price of just the earphone, do we expect too much? even just a earphone, please quality... unless you gave us for free then I won't complain

Most inconvenient headphones I've ever had, especially for the price!!

    • Written by from CHAPEL HILL

The earbuds fall off constantly even with basic movement. I am now conditioned to treat them like something that could fall apart at any moment. It's so terrible that I've considered superglueing them on, but at this point I've lost almost all the rubber buds so the ones I'm using are mismatched. I would never buy these again unless they figure out a better way to connect the tips to the headphones. Way too expensive to be this poorly built.

    Really Irritating

    • Written by from Saint Paul

I was very excited to get these headphones, as I had been needing a pair of quality earbuds due to the cheap ones constantly breaking on me. The first few months I was quite pleased with this set, but then the ear pieces (the cushion part) began constantly popping off and getting lost. I wasn't handling them rough at all, I'd merely grab them from my bag and they would fall off. I am very disappointed and frustrated because it has now been too long to return them, so I just have to shell out another hefty amount of cash for a new pair to replace them (they won't be from Apple). Apple, please fix these! Your products are usually so wonderful.

    No bass sound

    • Written by from R

Bought this earphone thinking it would work better than the regular one that costs half the price but, for my surprise, it is worse. No matter which earbud I choose, I can't get a bass response. Works like a defective piece. I wouldn't recommend for anybody.
