    As good as Bose

    • Written by from Huntsville

I used the old apple earphones for a few years, but I thought they were lacking high quality sound. I recently purchased the Bose AE2s and I fell in love with them. After hearing great reviews about these from my friends and online, I decided to compare them with my Bose headphones. I can't even notice a difference between them. These are a huge upgrade from the apple earphones. For $30, these are the best earphones on the market. I highly recommend them.

    THE TRUTH!

    • Written by from Kenilworth

I bought these after reading these great reviews and was excited to hear for myself.

Truth is they sound OK, just OK.. NO WHERE NEAR my Klipsch Image S4i.
People claiming they sound every bit as good are not really listening

As for the fit? They seemed to stay in place but it felt like they were gonna fall out.

I believe that part of the problem is they leak way too much of the outside noise. They also dont have the bass response people here are claiming probably due to the fact they just kind of barely rest in your ear.

I was disappointed but hey they are $29.99. I returned them same day. For me I'd rather spend a few more bucks than listen to these.

    Great sound, horrible comfort

    • Written by from Cullowhee

As a sound technician and a musician, audio quality is essential for me. These EarPods put out sound quality that rivals some of the top companies (SkullCandy, Beats, Sony, etc.). The one issue I have with these are the comfort. Recently I broke my usual SkullCandy headphones and have been left with these for my everyday listening. At first they are fine but the longer you wear them the worse they get.

So for those that are interested in purchasing these, they are great for small amount of time use and being able to talk without holding your iPhone; but if you are trying to find EarBuds for long term listening sessions (studying, leisure, etc.) might I suggest a full ear pair of headphones.

    Headphone Jack

    • Written by from Pahrump

The sound is very good, especially for the price, and they are a thousand times better than the old earphones, but my only complaint is the jack. The headphone jack that goes into your iPhone/iPod, etc., bends and that affects sound after a while. Give it a stronger jack and this will seriously become the best pair of headphones I've ever had.

Wow! This wasn't in the specs…

    • Written by from Deltona

I love my EarPods, and I was terribly dismayed when I discovered them in the pocket of my shorts that I had just pulled from the dryer. I figured the EarPods are ruined anyway, so it wouldn't hurt anything to try them and see how bad it was. I plugged them into my iPhone and started a song. When no sparks flew from them, I put them in my ears, and lo and behold… nothing. Bummer. Oh, wait. The volume was off. I turned up the volume, and they sounded as good as new! Impressive! The volume controls, pause button, and mic all work as well. I certainly won't try this again intentionally, but in my opinion, this is further testament to the quality of Apple's products.

    6 months excellent listening

    • Written by from Leicester

And now nothing in my right ear.
Seems other people have the same experience. Great for a while then one half just stops working. This may just be a loose connection issue but Apple should investigate as it is a clear design problem. (Like the too small feet on the PowerBook adapter which damage the wire).
Nice pods otherwise - clear sound and very comfortable, even when lying down, and don't leave feeling that they're still in after removing. Anyone who says other people can hear your music has the volume too high for they're own hearing safety.

    Apple Earpod Hurts!!

    • Written by from MELBOURNE

    Hi Guys,

Even though the music out of the pods is awesome. The truth is it hurts if use it for an hour or two. Not made for all ears for sure. I am disappointed and i cannot use it anymore as it pains if i put it back.

    Apple,

I would recommend stop selling it guys. Its not worth the shot. At least try to admit the problem and redesign it.

    Cheers!!

    Better fit, better sound.

    • Written by from Fortuna

They fit fine in my ears. Good sound for the price,(came with my iPod touch so not complaining) but the only problem I have with these is if they get scratched, they start to become gritty and uncomfortable to wear in your ears. The inside of my right ear is starting to get irritated and I think it broke some skin so you might want to reinforce them with rubber just like you did with the older ones ok hope this helps improve the product for next design!! I am a big fan of apple! c:

Fantastic Earbuds! Best I've ever used!

    • Written by from North Collins

Being a musician, I am very picky about the quality of the music that I listen to. This technology produces the most lively and crisp sound I've ever heard from ear buds. SO worth the money!

poor design as they Fall out

    • Written by from Fishers

I love Apple, but I cant buy or use Apple headphones... they fall out as easily as I put them in. Why is this? They have pretty good sound , but I cant move a muscle without them falling right out. Maybe I just have weird shaped ears?

    Not for Exercise Use

    • Written by from Edinboro

These EarPods work fine while I'm sitting still, but I mainly use headphones to listen to music on my iPhone while tracking my exercise workouts. When I'm running they will not stay in my ears. Every 3 to 5 steps they fall out.

    Not comfortable

    • Written by from Maringa

I am rating this product as 1 star only because it won't fit on my ear at all! When I put these on, my ears would start to hurt in a few minutes. I can't even explain how uncomfortable it is. Which is sad, since when related to sound quality, it is far better than the previous one.
I would like Apple to start seriously considering and reviewing their new product, since the other earphone seems to be discontinued, which means we (who can't use this earpod) will not be able to listen to great music with great sound quality anymore.

    Broke

    • Written by from Frenchtown

Loved these headphones but they broke within about a month and a half of getting them. The sound quality is great for 30$ but if I have to buy a new pair every other month I'd rather get another kind entirely.

    Amazing Sound!!

    • Written by from Erbil

Apple has done a really good job (as usual) in making an amazing piece of hardware.

    - Sound is amazing (Rich Balanced Bass + Very good Mids + amazing highs)
    - Nice bigger in-line remote
    - Nice Case (although I don't use it)
    - Looks Durable and very precise built
    - Delivers the Audio Quality of In-Ears but they don't seal like them
    - I had to do a custom silicon mold (to hold them in my ears, because of my ears cavity shape)
    - I gave 4 Stars, because I wish they had an optional silicon fit, to fit ears like mine!

I'm using them instead of the (Apple in-ears), for music, movies and even gaming.

People who know me took my recommendation and bought them, and they are very satisfied.

IF THEY WILL FIT PERFECTLY IN YOUR EAR, DON'T WASTE TIME, BUY THEM; BECAUSE THEY ARE VERY GOOD VALUE FOR THE COST

    Really opened my eyes!

    • Written by from Brabrand

In the past, i have used Bose MIE2 and Bang and Olufsen earphones. Theese headphones cost around 5 times the cost of theese Apple headphones, and the sound in theese are ALMOST as good! For the price, theese are, without a doubt, the best product i ever tried!
