I have used this case for several months i need something all ways dropping my phone and the otter boxes are too bulky and i kept shattering them so this one worked pretty well but as time went it wasn't as snug on the phone did not like the feel and i dropped while running an screen cracked it did not protect at all so it woks unless you drop pretty high or while running as you use it more the color starts to fade and it starts to get cracks in the case its too expensive

I'm not a big fan of cases on Apple products because they always ruin the aesthetics, bulking them up big time. But I bought a bumper because I felt I had to with the iPhone being almost all glass on the outside and I love the simplicity of the bumper's design. I've had mine for almost a year and it's performed very well. At night I remove the bumper so I can use my iPhone dock, so it's gone through hundreds of off/on movements and hasn't broken or loosened. After many accident-free months, my iPhone took a dive from waist height onto pavement. The iPhone came out unscathed. The same month I dropped it a second time (what's wrong with me?) and once again my iPhone is safe. I'm very happy and rather impressed that this little "case" does its job so well! I may buy a new one soon since I've dinged up my current one now. ;-)

I only bought this because any case I got was a little bulky when I want to use a wristlet handbag. I haven't dropped my phone with the bumper on it, but its got to be way better than not having it in some sort of casing. Because I wouldn't use a case if I was using a small bag. I have a pink and white Speck case and kept seeing pink so I got the Orange one and it looks nice, but do wish there was a yellow one.

Bought black bumper along with phone.
Good:
Usefull, better grip, and prevents direct contact of phone and other surfaces.
Bad:
Got scratch marks on steel band (c'mon, I bought original Apple accessory), started to crack after some time, narrow head phone jack hole, rubber edges of the bumper removed screen guard from several places on both sides.
Final say:
Not worth it!!!

Received my orange bumper yesterday (4/11/12). The thin rim that sits up inside the large oval hole used for plugging in an Apple Dock Connector-to-USB Cable was too thick to allow the cable's connector to connect. I tried 3 different apple connectors ... all of the new style ... but none could connect. I cut out the thin hard-plastic rim with a scalpel and hole punch. So now it works, but the edges of the bumper that go around the long sides of the oval hole are weak.

I actually have the pink and the orange and have been satisfied with the products endurance. I like that it is smaller than most cases and doesn't impede the view of my iPhone. It isn't bulky and it doesn't take away from the beauty of the naked phone.
However, I've been a bit frustrated with the fading and the attraction of dirt to the rubber. I don't like that the once brightly colored rubber pieces are now somewhat dull and seem to have a permanent dirty tone.
The price is also a bit of a discouragement. When I really consider, I don't mind paying the money, however, I have to admit that at first I was frustrated at the idea that I was paying $30 for a product that seems so flimsy. After much consideration, I decided that the price was indeed worth it and have been very satisfied.

The case looks nice and fits snuggly. However, within a few days of use the softer elements of the case discolour badly and makes the case looks really grubby. I would recommend against buying one of these.

The orange in the picture looks like a nice deep orange. I got my case today and it's more of a neon color. Very distracting. I love orange, but neon is a bit too much. Not happy with the color.

The price is also a bit of overkill. I got my last bumper through the free bumper program on the iPhone 4, but sold it with the phone. Didn't even realize it was so expensive!

The bumper does its job well and I haven't had a single problem with it falling off or getting in the way.

... But, and it's probably just a vanity thing, I really don't like the discoloration brought about by everyday use. I've only had it for a month and the color variation between the hard plastic and the rubber is quite drastic (I've even considered buying another case). It's not like I drop it all the time or roll it around in the dirt, it just seems to have gotten dirty somehow. No amount of scrubbing or cleaning has managed to get it clean, either.

Overall it's a great case and it lets you show off your iPhone, too. The discoloration is just annoying...
