    Too Slow

    • Written by from Halstead

It is a great product for a bit of fun with the family for 1 afternoon but after a few days it becomes boring and you realise that it really isnt that quick, also a big feature of it is the ramps that come with it which you think will be great fun but it is really difficult to drive straight on them, and if you do get it on the ramp it is fairly unrewarding as you do not get much air at all. I returned the product after 3 days.

Really fun - great gift for any tech fan!

Sphero makes a great gift for the tech fan in your life. It's like a remote control car... except it's a ball. It works with any iOS or Android devices (and maybe even Windows Phone). I had the original model too and this one is a LOT faster. It comes with ramps that you can jump it off of. Had mine since before Christmas and it's still fun, I particularly like that they're always updating it and coming out with new apps.

    Fun app

    • Written by from leonia

I purchased this Sphero because the Apple exclusive version looks absolutely amazing. You can actually see though the ball and see the mechanical insides. Aside from the looks, Sphero comes with a bunch of fun apps. I liked driving, augmented reality and the table top game - color grab. So for $100+ I've had a lot of fun.

Wow, this special Apple Sphero looks wickedly cool! You can actually see inside the robot. Love all the games that come with it and the fact that its educational too with the MacroLab and OrbBasic apps. Really unique purchase. Super durable as well

    Overpriced, mildly interesting.

    • Written by from PLYMOUTH

Interesting concept but way too expensive. Fragile (cannot deal with a drop of 20cm!) tends to lose its set up info, you have to set the rear side of the ball in order to control it. A bump or two later and its time to set it up (again)
Control is loose and inaccurate and as a whole its not really that interesting.
I have a highly intelligent 11 year old Daughter, speaks 3 languages and much more beside. Sphero kept her attention for just over an hour, say no more really.

Back in its box ready for the trip back to the apple store tomorrow, thank god for the 14 day return period.

Don't bother with this, unless your 10 or less !!!!

    SLOW SLOW SLOW

    • Written by from Flixton

If you think this ball is going to be quick even when set at the fastest setting think again! Don't waste £100 on it. if i could return it to apple i would and get a refund on it. But my Dog has had a hold if it so there are teeth marks in it now. I may put it up for sale on ebay!

    Nice ball

    • Written by from La Puente

I picked up my sphero at the apple store 3 days ago, and I got to say its really nice it works and its a lot of fun. The only thing I'd would have really liked is if the ball would be able to fallow you around and if it came with the nubby cover included because the finish gets scratches, other than that I'm satisfied with my purchase.

    Excellent but OP

    • Written by from henfield

Really great product to play with, the colours are really good and so is great for night use, me and my friends love playing with the apps that come with it as well. However saying all of this I still don't think it is worth the full £100, possibly £80 would be fair. I do like the see through aspect of it as you can see the moving parts which is really interesting. Overall excellent but OP

I like it! Got it a few days ago...Theres 25 IOS apps you can dowload to play with it! Easy to set up! And really hard resistant. Ive used it down a fight of stairs and it works! Waterproof! Few games you can play with! The modern version of a remote controlled car but a ball!

It's a really cool toy for father and son (my son is 2 years old). I enjoyed navigating it while watching my son chasing it around wondering why does the ball moves! Great fun!

It's a robotic ball. You link it to your iDevice and then you control it with an app. It goes pretty fast. It's way fun. I love it.

A very fun, simple, & unique toy

    • Written by from Colorado Springs

Got my Sphero from Apple a few days ago and I must say it is quite an interesting device. Let me start off by saying there are plenty of apps to satisfy any "driver" of Sphero. Simple driving apps all the way to augmented reality games provide multiple engaging experiences with Sphero so don't expect to get bored. I am really glad I ordered the Revealed edition of Sphero from Apple because seeing the inner workings is neat and the white paint is more than just white. It resembles a new car's paintjob in that it is almost silvery or pearly and has faint sparkles that add a lot of modern style to Sphero's robotic hardware. Its also just more aestheticly pleasing. The Sphero itself is fast and responsive. I have no trouble pairing it via Bluetooth and it has never lost the signal or had interference. Sphero is a fun toy with limitless possibilities. Its also got me out of my traditional gaming chair, making obstacle courses out of household items and unlocking the creativity of myself and the potential of Sphero.
