    Excellent compact design

    • Written by from Davenport

I have another Epson printer and I bought this printer so I could print from my iPhone and iPad. Don't have a lot of extra space so I picked this printer because of it's compact design. It doesn't need much space but it has a lot of capabilities I didn't realize it had. The two paper trays let me keep regular paper and photo paper at the same time. The paper trays allow for a lot of different size papers. It can also print from CD's and prints two sided copies to save paper. It was easy to set up. The MAC wizard was simple. I can't believe how small it is. Epson did a great update on this latest release. I love this printer and highly recommend it.

    It's Ok Nothing Special

    • Written by from Oakland

Setting up was interesting, it says its capable of connecting wirelessly to the network by using the LCD screen but I ended up having to manually set it up on my Mac. For the price it should include faxing, seeing since cheaper printers on the site include faxing. Not like I need it, just an observation. It prints well, it's a little noisy but you can turn the silent mode on. All around it's ok.

    Great printer

I bought this printer for school and it was very easy to set up. I had no issues and was printing within the first 10 mins of set up. I would recommend this to anyone who wanted a good home printer and scanner.

    Epson xp-600 printer

    • Written by from Southampton

Very pleased with this printer. Photo quality superb - as good as shop prints, duplex copying superb - as good as the original. Loading paper trays is a little clumsy, but not an issue. Only real downside is manual is very poor, but anyone with a little savvy will be able to follow on-screen instructions, so once set-up all is fine. Haven't managed to print on CD yet, but looking for free-ware. All in all, very good printer.

    Great 2nd Printer

    • Written by from Lewis Center

This little guy really is a good printer! It prints pictures very good, crisp and clear. Speed is bad at all. AirPrint work flawlessly, I was able to connect all my PC's, iMac's, iPads, and iPhones in seconds and started printing my iCloud pictures with no issues. Paper trays are something you'll want to know how to control first so I recommend pulling them out and seeing what they all do and where the arrows line up but no issue. Best to do a a clean ink cartridge function after setup to prime the ink nozzels with ink but that goes for any printer and when you buy new ink. Haven't tried the CD printing as of yet but sure it'll be just fine. I used Kodak premium paper with no problems, fast dry no smudges. Wireless setup: through the panel was easy and straight forward, put CD in computers, it found the printer, done. Very pleased!

    Returning it today

Set it up and it won't print black. Went through all the trouble shooting, cleaned the head multiple times. Reading other reviews, this appears to be a frequent problem

    Just bought this printer yesterday

    • Written by from Santa Barbara

Bought this printer yesterday and attempted to set it up today. Problems from beginning to end. Finally called Epson's technical support line and after about 90 minutes of trouble shooting, the technician concluded that the printer was defective. They offered to ship me another printer, provided I post a $140 "deposit" which would be charged to my credit card if they didn't receive the broken printer within 7 days. Kinda felt like I bought two printers in two days; one doesn't work and the other I won't see for a week....

    Easy setup, poor printing

    • Written by from Madison

At first I loved this printer due to its compact size, chic look, double-sided printing feature, and easy installation. But after a month of use, I had to repurchase ink because it used a lot of it for each print (even printing in black used up some of the colored ink) and I got really poor quality printing for simple documents (streaks through lettering, faded black ink even though the cartridge was new). I am definitely returning this product and would not recommend it!

Very nice, small, fast high quality printer/scanner

    • Written by from Verona

Please don't be put off by low rating reviews for this printer. I bought mine today and it has done everything that I've asked it to do. The two-sided printing is astonishing considering the small size of the printer and the necessarily tiny paper path.
My only reason for a '4' rating instead of a '5' is because the paper trays are quite small; I wish they were larger although the printer would have been larger as a result. For my needs the larger paper tray outweighs the need for small printer size. Other users' needs will vary; to each their own. The paper tray size does not stop me from using and liking this device, but I will get more exercise as a result.

    Wireless ?? MAYBE

    • Written by from Lithia Springs

I bought this printer Yesterday, followed the direction to the letter to set it up on my wireless network. The initial setup had a couple of hiccups but overall satisfactory. I did not use any cables to setup the printer, my intention was to use it completely wireless. Printed a couple of test pages, that went fine, I actually thought the print quality was quite good. I didn't use the printer for about an hour after the initial setup. Later I a attempted to print a PDF document and got an error code and a message saying the printer was offline. I check the printer the wifi light was green which means it is connected to the network, but each time i attempted a print job I got an error saying the printer was offline. I deleted the printer and attempted reset it in system preferences and it would even show up on my network. Then sporadically it would show up on the network only to disappear again in minutes. I troubleshooted all day trying to figure out why the printer would indicate on the printer that it was connected to my network, but I wasn't able to see it on any of my computers. I finally gave up and return the printer today. If you want to connect to your network through a router or by USB it may work well for you, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having its own wifi antenna. Again I thought it would have been a nice printer if the wireless connectivity actually worked consistently.

    TERRIBLE

    • Written by from Dumfries

Worst printer ever. I was issued a new one at work and it did work for about 6 weeks and about 2 complete ink cartridge replacements. Then, it would no longer print blacks without setting the quality to best and it goes through black ink like there's no tomorrow when it used to last a very long time. Bottom line - Printer is terrible if you need to print things more than once. I had a Canon MP620 before this that lasted several years. I'm going to dig it out of the attic and switch back. How foolish of me to think a new printer from Epson would somehow outperform a tired but tried and true Canon.

Will not print black ink-common problem, cannot be fixed

    • Written by from Denver

I used this printer for home use for less than a month. It quit printing in black so I thought the ink ran out (the levels showed it wasn't out). I went ahead and replaced the cartridges but the printer wouldn't recognize the new ones, even though they had the same number and were Epson brand. I went to a different store, bought new cartridges, and the printer recognized those. However, it will not print black ink! From researching online I found this is a common and fatal problem with Epson printers. Nothing can be done. I no longer have the box or I'd return it and I'm not dealing with the hassle of getting it fixed. I'm going back to Canon.

    Temperamental

    • Written by from Royson

I'm no techy; I just want products that do what they say on the tin and am prepared to pay for them. This printer keeps turning itself off after a max of 15 minutes and there's no way of disabling that function. Not a problem if your printer is on your desk but a pain in the neck if it isn't. It also keeps declaring itself 'off-line' (I wanted a wireless printer; who in this day and age puts up with cables snaking everywhere?) and the only way round that is turning it off and on, or restarting my Mac. Wouldn't buy this again but my old HP was hardly any better. Does anyone out there do a printer that just gets on with the job.

    The Actual Worst

    • Written by from Winnipeg

Setting up was the biggest hassle ever, trying to connect was even worse. Did not connect to my Mac so I had to go out and buy a cord to connect it to my laptop. Finally it connected, I went to print an assignment and the ink did not work. Back to Apple it goes.

    No black ink!

    • Written by from El Cajon

I bought this bundled with my laptop so I'd have Air Print functionality. I didn't get around to setting it up for a couple of months, since my other printer was still working.

When that printer gave an error, I pulled this one out of the box and there was no black ink on prints. Did all of the suggested cleanings, etc. still none. LOTS of reviews online that this is a common occurrence.

Well past the return timeframe, and no warranty coverage that I can find on Epson's website. It's a $150 mistake. Going to go back to a Brother printer, my previous one lasted for over 6 years.

    Faulty

I bought one of these printers a year ago. Suddenly it quit printing the black ink. I tried everything and could not fix it. I bought a new one and THE NEW ONE WON'T print out black either!!! What is even odder is that the black WILL print on a DVD but not on paper. Same machine, same ink....uggghhhhhh
