Great scale, easy to use and setup

    • Written by from Cockatoo

Works a treat. Was very easy to setup via the app. I love the way I can just stand on it and the information appears in my phone. I've got my measurements connected to RunKeeper and MyFitnessPal which is awesome.
Comes with a quick installation guide but no manual. I found the manual within the app.

does not connect, no support, overly complicated to set up

    • Written by from Cashmere

Unable to get the scale to connect to either of two iPhones (3 and 5). It appeared to be working but noticed the weights were not what the scale was reading, took a while to realise it was not connecting! it is really not obvious when something is not working and the app is very convoluted. Its going back tomorrow.

    very difficult setup

Extremely hard to set up. Other versions seem better. I wish I had bought the Aria scale.

Poor support, weak and erroneous web guides, a lot of failure modes exist

    • Written by from RENO

I like the concept of this device, but it doesn't work as claimed, and doesn't come with a manual or instructions. The website documents a number of failure modes, and its documentation for troubleshooting has several errors. I get the sense that this company changed the design of the scale, but did not update its documentation, FAQs, or has provided functional solutions for the new scale. It appears that the hardware, software and website design teams didn't talk to one another, and nobody has fact checked the website's information or guidance. There is no customer support phone number, and response to email has not occurred yet.
If you don't change any of the options (e.g., French language needs to change to English, want units in metric, etc.), then it may work as claimed if you pull it out of the box, put batteries in, and pair it up with your network. However, any attempt to change options may be the source of the firmware or software failures. Don't buy until manufacturer can confirm they have resolved all of their problems.

    Great product!

I was surprised with some of the negative reviews. The only thing I can attribute that to would be that there are two "Withings" apps in the app store and one is far more comprehensive and easy to set-up than the other.

It took only a few minutes to set-up multiple profiles and the scale worked perfectly!

I am looking forward to the Withings bracelets!

    So far so good

    • Written by from TUCSON

I bought this scale and had no problem syncing it to my iPhone at all. It's very nice accurate weight wise and look forward to using it as part of my diet and exercise routine. I like that it is compatible with Fitbit and also other apps like Run Keeper.

    Great concept, works flawlessly!

    • Written by from Scarborough

I did find the scale a little difficult to setup, but once I did, it worked flawlessly. It transmits through the router to an online withings account (you set up), and subsequently it gets downloaded to the withings apps on your ios devices. The scale shows the first three characters of the person it believes is on the scale. If two users are close to the same weight (within about 7 pounds of each other) after the scale locks a weight, it will show one user on the right and one on the left, you shift your weight in the direction of your ID, and the scale assigns the weighing to your ID. Very cool! It is a little expensive (much better now that it's under $100), but well worth the price. We love the fact that that we no longer have to record our weight.

Do not buy this scale if you want to sync it with any of your devices

    • Written by from Excelsior

I really like the concept of this product; however, I have wasted the last hour and a half of my life trying to pair it with my various Apple devices. The scale on its own works great, simple/sleek design, but it should not be so difficult to pair with my iPhone or iPad. Oh and I have tried starting over, restarting my devices, using support on the Withings app, using just bluetooth and disabling wifi. NOTHING works. This is the worst apple peripheral device I have ever purchased. I am taking this scale back to the apple store today. Do not waste your time or money on this product.

    Waste of time and money!

This product comes with one fold out of instructions. However, if you encounter any problems hooking the device up, you are pretty much on your own. There is almost no useful information on trouble shooting this device. The BMI is also highly inaccurate. over 5%.

    Absolutely Amazing

    • Written by from Richmond Hill

I don't write a lot of reviews, but was shocked to see a bad review on this product. It was painfully simple to connect, it stays connected and seamlessly sends all my information to my iPhone/iPad. I used to have a weight watchers brand scale and stood there like a goof trying to write down all the numbers with text that seems too small for human consumption. Now I just stand there - wait a few seconds and I'm done.
