couldn't get the feel of it as I lost it the first day!

    • Written by from Vancouver

Agree with other reviewer that part that affixes sensor to glove was flimsy. I wore it on the course and it fell off!

It was a present from my daughter and I was really upset that I lost it. I left my name with the course to see if anyone turned it in to call me and they never did, so maybe the person who found it could give a review!

MAKE A STRONGER ATTACHMENT TO GLOVE! a total waste of money....

Just back from the range with this badboy and have been able to accurately see my tempo (2.5:1) ,swing & hand plane in order to change my shot shapes (I've a steep swing plane) and correct faults. The clubs in your bag can all be added via the app to which you can attach goals (tempo, club head speed etc) by club type (hybrids, irons etc) to track your progress over the weeks and months.
I can now match balls better to my driver swing speed to maximise total distance. Its 2-3 mph up of my trackman results of 96 vs 98 mph which considering the price isn't bad. Attaching to golf glove is easy, calibration simple and integration to iPhone and/or iPad is straight forward (although they can't be both connected at the same time, never mentioned in manual). Not sure of the longevetity of the sensor strap but we'll see in time.
On the negative side is the sensor leaves a small pull area on the glove's velcro strap once attached which is awkward.
App is slick and easy to get around. Hip rotation element of app (phone in pocket) is dubious in my view. See what other think about it.
Ideal for those who want to work their on way thru correcting their swing without the pro (still a must tho from time to time)

    Golfsense works for me!

    • Written by from Oklahoma City

Just got the Golfsense for Christmas. Set up with my iphone. Works great! Went to the range a couple times and it worked as described. Made a slight swing path change as a result and pick up consistency and distance. In my opinion it is better than a couple of lessons.

I've been using GolfSense for about 6 months and it's allowed me to focus on improving specific parts of my swing. Because it attaches to your glove you can switch between clubs with a simple touch of the screen. The newer version of the app makes for a better experience and is easier to use. Through analysis I've been able to improve my club plane and tempo. I've also used it to get a feeling for half shots, their tempo and how far the club should go back. The only complaint I have with the new version is that the Club Head speed graph is no longer available. Now it only shows the overall max speed and not where that max happened in the swing. For example, if you see your speed hits its max before impact then you know you're releasing the club too soon. Without this information you can work on increasing your club head speed all you want, but if it's happening before impact then you aren't optimizing the energy of your swing. I'm sure saying that most people want more distance is an understatement. The Golfchannel devoted October to that very topic. Seeing this feature return to GolfSense would be fantastic.

    Very pleased

Very pleased with this product, works well with both my Ipad and Iphone. Especially glad they are updating the software continually and I look forward to more data such as attack angle, club face at impact, etc, which should be not to difficult to show, albeit not 100% accurately (I'd just like an approximation).

Terrific Product with even better Customer Support

    • Written by from Eustis

Golf Sense has helped me correct my swing better than most instructors I've tried. It provides a simplified graphic analysis that provides great feedback. I have seen my handicap drop by 2 in just 5 weeks.

Better yet, their technical support staff is just superb. I had a 3 email exchange in 2 hours on a Sunday Morning and they fixed my problem on my Ipod Touch that quickly!!

    not accurate

    • Written by from CARDSTON

I have come to expect good products just by the fact they are sold at Apple and for this reason decided to go with this golf sensor. This product was the one exception to my experience . The device was not accurate at all. I am disappointed that Apple choose this product to market.

    Great idea but...

    • Written by from Perth

Started off well with great feed back dispite the bluetooth dropouts and lock-ups. The subsequent updates introduced new bugs worse than those it was supposed to fix. The last two updates made the product almost unusable and were a huge data download to update. They have added a top view but removed the side view that was most useful. Now I can't even get a straight line on the all important downswing.

It's such a shame becasue it's a fantastic idea and provides great feedback, but the current frustrations out weigh it's utility. Maybe when they get back to basics and functionality I'll go back to using it. Dissapointing!

    very disappointed

    • Written by from Greenwich

I had an extremely disappointing experience and returned the GolfSense Sensor to the Apple store.

    In order of significance:
    1. the sensor did not consistently transmit data to the app
    2. the app consistently froze or crashed
    3. the company's web server was down the day that I purchased the Sensor so I could not register or use it until the next day

Customer service tried to be helpful, but the product simply did not work well.

Very useful product for the a reasonable price

    • Written by from Friedrichsdorf

It's a great and simple help for improving your swing tempo and swing path. It's very easy to connect via bluetooth and there is no attaching of a device to your clubs everytime you switch them. Worked perefectly from the first moment. New functions like measuring hip rotation when your iphone is in your back pocket is also a really cool improvement. Would like to see storage of your swing data in the cloud. Absolutely worth the money and I would buy it again.

    Great product - really helpful

Love the ability to see my swing planes and see how far apart my backswing and downswing are. While I hope they add more data to the swing analysis, just seeing my swing planes has been super helpful. Club head speed is also quite helpful as it's something I've been working on.

    Nice idea poor execution

    • Written by from Buffalo Grove

I bought this last week to try and improve my golf swing. I am about to return my second time due to poor quality. The strap that holds the sensor to your glove is made of a fragile rubber that will tear away from the sensor with the slightest tug. hardly worth $129.

In addition, the sensor looses its Bluetooth connection constantly with the iPhone or iPad. Even with a fuly charged battery I had to reconnect every other swing.

I would not recommend this to others.
