    Best ever hands free

This is the easiest piece of equipment to use. Once you have paired it with your phone - it takes seconds - its ready to go. Simply press once to dial and once to switch off. It never fails. Sound quality excellent from both ends. Worth every penny.

Head & shoulders above all others!!!!

Quite simply the best out there, tried many others but never happy, only downfall is the relatively short battery life, but more than makes up for it with excellent sound quality! Very comfortable to use, hardly notice it is there, even hours later! Makes using a headset a pleasure!

My search has finally come to an end, it cost me a few bucks and trial and error along with a bit of stubbornness to get here but well worth it. This headset will not fall out of your ear, allow me to repeat that, they will not fall out of your ear on there own and if you find your self turning the place upside down looking for them...check your ear, very very comfortable and very light. With large and callused hands I can feel the positive contact on these perfectly sized buttons with my finger tip which is a first for me. The sound quality? Bose would not go this far without giving you this also, after all, it is there signature. It is always nice to cut corners where ever you can but here you will find that you get exactly what you pay for...plus some. I will give this headset five stars because this is all that is allowed. As usual...Bose delivers once again.

I have had this Bose Bluetooth for about a year, and it works great. I recently ran it over with my vehicle when accidentally dropped it getting into my car. I did have a few issues with it syncing with my iPhone 5 & my Ford Sync., but no problems with iPhone 4S. THe bluetooth version on iPhone 4S, is a earlier version than the iPhone 5. I went to Apple and learned a good lesson about bluetooth, that I will share here. Let me first just say the Bose bluetooth works great, and this is just my personal experience. The problem is Bluetooth v2.0 , 2.1, 3.0 etc.. is much different than 4.0. The higher the version the more bandwidth the bluetooth uses. Having two devices synced with the iPhone caused problems. The vehicles bluetooth system use a much larger bandwidth,(I think it's like 5.0), covering more frequencies than a headset. When I would have the iPhone bluetooth synced with the Ford Sync and the Headset, they compete for bandwidth. Even when only one is connected, turned on or even in range, the phone is still looking for the other one. This continuous searching by the iPhone for the other bluetooth causes problems. I deleted (forgot the devise), and it works without any problems. I use the bluetooth in my car instead of the Ford Sync, and I haven't had any problem with it loosing connectivity as I did before. The iPhone definitely has some problems with bluetooth connectivity. I was also told to sync the vehicles bluetooth first, and then add the headset. The vehicle will take a larger frequency range of bandwidth, and the headset will find a open bandwidth easier than a vehicle will. It's not fool proof, but it helps. I know it's a pain, but if you can sync you iPhone with only 1 device, it seems to work much much better. Hope this helps with earlier Q's about iPhone issues and Bose headset. Again personally I really like my headset. I work outside sometimes, and in a noisy shop, and it works well for me just like I was in my living room. Not to mention Bose customer service is great.

Bose does not put its name on junk, you will not be disappointed. I have owned similar devices by different manufacturers and this headset cannot be compared to any of them. Excellent design & engineering, it works as advertized.

I sometimes like to use my headset to listen to music in a social setting. I decided to leave feedback after listening to dubstep, yes dubstep, and it sounded awesome. I've never heard a bluetooth earpiece that actually had bass. Simply incredible. I've used jawbones, blue ants, plantronics, and more, and they are all good, but none come even close to the sound quality of this awesome product!

I have tried several different brands of Bluetooth headsets and this is by far the best one I've ever owned I can be walking or driving Through a tunnel and people are unable to tell. I have been told that it sounds like I am there. The noise cancellation on this device is as advertised.

I had zero difficulty connecting with my iPhone 4S. Great call quality, for once I don't have to turn the volume up all the way to hear clearly. Callers are impressed with the quality of the call on my end. Also very comfortable. This is the first Bluetooth I have owned that I have found completely comfortable. I also love having it secure and stable in my ear without the all too common hook going over the ear.

I use a bluetooth headset a lot - both for calling and listening to podcasts. I saw this one but thought it was expensive so ended up buying several others and being disappointed before then buying this (so costing me more time and money in the process). It's not that the others are 'bad' but they were just not as comfortable for extended use and the sound quality just not as good.

The others I bought were typically more 'premium' models like the Plantronics Voyager Pro HD (comfortable, bit bulky and sound not as good), Jabra Surpreme (the one I would rate as number 2 to the Bose - Jabra Bluetooth Wave (ok found sound but just did not fit all that well) and a Motorola HX550 (good sound but did not fit as well). Think I also looked at a Jawbone but it only supported voice not sound for music / podcasts etc.

Overall the Bose won - it's small, best sound (both for calls and podcasts / music) and most comfortable. Yes it's the most expensive (about twice the price of most of those listed) but if you use it a lot it's worth it.

I've owned Bose BT series 2 for 2 weeks, it works great.
I can easily connect / disconnect it between my Iphone and my Nokia cellphone.
clear voice of the headset and the microphone.
battery life last a day ( talk about 4 hrs ).
very durable in my ear ( I almost wear it 6-7 hrs ).
I can talk while my iphone is 18 ft away without call interruption!
light weight and looks nice on my ear.

    I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

I own Bose products for my tv, desktop computer, iPad 2 (wireless speaker) and now this Bluetooth.i must admit this is my first Bluetooth ever, which I use for iPhone 4S so I can't compare to other Bluetooth brands. Yet I don't bother with other vendors when Bose has consistently delivered the highest quality sound products with the products I've purchased. No company or product is perfect but Bose is pretty close.

    Bose Bluetooth series 2

I just want to share my experience with you regarding my recent purchase of the Bose Bluetooth Series 2 headset.

As a iPhone 4s owner I need to be completely hands free while on the phone as I need to accesses information on the phone while talking and more so when driving. I have been through dozens of bluetooths over the years, and only buy high end gear such as Jawbone Era, Jabra Stone 2 and Plantronics.

Had them all but not all met my expectation as a hardcore user, the Jawbone had great style but as I wear specticles I was unable unable to use the ear hook supplied and the rubber earbuds made my ear sore after 15 minutes of use and the sensor nib pressed on my cheeks and made it sore after a while. The Jabra was discreet but sound quality and battery life was terrible even though it had a charging stone, again this has to go over the ear and compromised my wearability as I wear glasses. The Plantronics had good sound quality but was heavy I looked pretty redicoulous walking down the street, makes me look TREKKIE!

But now I bought the Bose and WOW!, amazing sound quality on conversation sensational when listening to music and I'm a big R&B fan, It blows any other headset I have ever owned full stop! Build quality is great and foremost the ear fitting is so comfortable you hardly notice you are wearing it and because it's also so light.

My only negative comment would be if it was able to have caller ID like the Jawbone to let me know who is calling on my contact list and a battery meter on the iPhone and that would be the worlds perfect Bluetooth headset regardless of price.

I hope Bose address this issue on future updates or future replacement models.

    Alf Jawbone ERA
    Alf Jawbone ICON
    Plantronics Voyager Pro
    Plantronics Voyager
    Blue Ant Q1 or T1
    Motorola 720
    Motorola H17txt
    Motorola CommandOne

Of all of these, the Bose blows them out of the water. Period. My callers report better understanding me, even in the wind and loud environments, plus I can hear them better. I have less static and the more clarity on both ends with the Bose. The volume is very loud...I have to turn it down past 1/2 all the time since too loud; however, the other models above would max out and crackle since no amount of adjustment was loud enough. The auto adjustment feature of the Bose is very subtle but accurate. I don't have to adjust it up or down a lot since it does it automatically.

The noise reduction is excellent....and I think better than the Jawbones or Plantronics. I would hear before the Bose complaints that callers could not understand me or my voice muffled, but with the Bose I get no complaints and most don't even know I'm on a headset. I have no more people with that "your an idiot for wearing a bluetooth" tone in their voice on the other end mad that my voice is breaking up.

Comfort is superior to all the others except maybe the Motorola H17txt. Moto had an ear loop and was very light;however, it was horrible at noise and clarity. For an "in ear" clip the Bose is excellent at comfort and only a couple times a day do I have to play with it to make sure it's on and in my ear. I forget it's there. It certainly is MORE comfortable than any of the Jawbone hard plastic and uncomfortable ear tips.

You can update via mac or windows the firmware with their software application so the future looks bright for this little bluetooth. A2DP is nice to hear radio over my iPhone. Battery life is about as rated. I wish it had a battery meter but does beep to give you status.

It is not fancy like the Jawbone with apps and voice changes or notifications, but it works better for what it is intended...that's calls and voice. I wish like Jawbone it had a tap to answer and tap to close. The extra apps with Jawbone were largely useless.

On Siri it works great and no problems....the Bose is more accurate with Siri than all the others too. That tells me Siri understands my commands via the Bose better.

Makes my life easier....sure, it's most money but rewarded in productivity and caller clarity and communication worth the extra $40 bucks.

Note: I work over the phone and talk constantly on the go in the car, office or outside. I am a bluetooth headset's worst dream for abuse and critical evaluation, so Bose a winner so far in early 2012.

This little thing is expensive. And it's little. But it does work very well. The sound quality if great, for both you and the person you're talking with. The noise canceling seems to be very effective, but why is love this one the most, is it is comfortable; even after an hour long daily drive with it in the whole way. My ears seem sensitive and things like headphones and sunglasses will irritate them, but once I put this headset in then pull out on it just slightly, I don't even feel it.

I didn't think I'd use the A2DP at all but it is a nice feature and I have used it a few times. I also thought the right-ear only design would bother me some, but it hasn't yet. The buttons are intuitive and the on-off sliding switch is nice. Works perfectly with my iPhone 4 (iOS5).

The headset is very small though and I've lost it for a few days only to find it in a jacket pocket that I had checked a few times. The case it comes with is probably a good storage idea, not so much for protecting it, but so it doesn't get lost as easily.

This is the best Bluetooth ever. I am a truck driver and it can get really loud in the cab, but no worries with this. Fits better than any headphone out there and has a lot of volume as well as the clarity of my voice is great. Must buy and is well worth it.

    The Uhura Effect

    • Written by from Cheltenham

16 of 19 people found this useful

The world has still not really accepted the Bluetooth mobile phone headset and so the best place to use one is in your car. Otherwise - as countless reviews tell us - you risk looking a bit weird, talking to yourself with that thing stuck in your ear. Maybe it's the Uhura effect and the possibility of ending up being branded a Trekkie.

So this Bose headset is very good news for a number of reasons. It's a matter of opinion of course but it is beautifully designed, unobtrusive and very comfortable to wear. Of all the headsets I have used this one has the most attractive appearance (or least offensive, depending on your views on headsets) and the easiest to use for a long time.

One day technology manufacturers might wake up to the fact that for many people who are partially colour blind the use of green, yellow and red lights is completely baffling and useless. Apart from that the controls are good, especially the mechanical sliding On/Off switch.

Summary: likeable, well designed, effective, comfortable, expensive

Great in every way. The mic is stunning and works with siri better than the iPhone's built-in mic. They stay in ear great, are fast and easy to use with the immediate controls, and do excellently with calls. Sound works well for music too, plus have great bluetooth reception.

I was getting a headache when wearing them, but have switched from the small ear attachment to the larger ones, and that stopped.

Get them; you won't be disappointed.

The headset is light and well made. It fits comfortably in your ear and securely without an over ear loop. The buttons are great and I never find myself hanging up on callers inadvertently while trying to change volume unlike the Jawbone I had which did not fit securely in my ear even with an ear loop .... unlike the Bose. The sound quality of the Bose is also much much much improved over my old Jawbone. The Bose looks like a quality piece of gear as well. Battery life is great and Siri activation is only a button push away. Great BT headset.... the best I've owned. Highly recommended.
