Worked for about 6 months then started cutting out. Now I have to hold it just right and pray that it will stay connected. I don't abuse my stuff so I expect it to work. Very disappointed.

The product worked well but 12 months of occasional use vs 34 $ value is not what I call a good ratio. I used it to connect MBP 13" to Sony TV.

I've had this adapter for less than one year. It has already failed. My TV (LG LCD) no longer is recognized by my Mac when using this adapter - I get the dreaded "No Signal."

    Don't bother. Save your money.

Initially, I was completely satisfied. It works!! I thought.... Beautiful picture, perfectly acceptable audio!! I thought... But it was short lived, this baby quit on me after about 4 months of casual indoor use. I can still get it to work if I bend it just right but If I were you (or me), I wouldn't depend on this adapter working when it needs to.

This shorts out quickly, starts with static, and picture quality. Isn't built to last and is overpriced for the amount of time that you get out of it. When it worked it was awesome though!

it lasted 6 months and now it's dead. No, I did not strain it, at all.
It was disconnected and re-plugged from my Macbook Pro maybe 100 times in these 6 months. The cable was always lying flat and straight on the desk.

lucky me - after having read the old reviews here, I had ordered 2 straight away.

so as of now, I am "testing" the Belkin.
and as a good customer, I will also post my test findings on that other product in due course.

Useless. Bought this adaptor along with my 13" macbook pro a week ago. I've tried everything to get it to work, including 2 different HDMI cables, 3 different HD TVs in my house, and failed internet suggestions. The laptop screen flashes blue, yet the TV remains blank. Returning tomorrow.

No hassle, no problem whatsoever while connecting my mac book pro (early 2011) to my Sony Bravia. Works like a charm, only thing is that I had to adjust the resolution settings and that's all. Its audio support made it easy to control the playback(audio & audio+video) through mac remote: sweet!

Shouldn't even sell it on the Apple Store

C-R-A-P! Got this product for Christmas. Worked perfect for about 2 months before it started cutting out. After working only in certain positions for a while it stopped working completely after another 2 months. I have never used a Moshi product before but after this experience, i see no reason to ever try Moshi again.

I purchased this product for my new 13" MacBook Pro and a 26" Insignia monitor. Screen quality was horrible. After talking to 5 different Apple Tech's and swapping out my laptop, the last one confirmed the problem and we discovered that you need the Thunderbolt to HDMI cable that isn't currently available. So for now I'm borrowing my daughters older cable to HDMI at a lower resolution.

This is my first adapter. After about a year, it has finally decided to stop working. A simple check shows that the plastic casing inside the adapter had major cracks which most likely meant the adapter was cracked. So I suspect that if someone trips over the wire and/or yanks on it, that's what will crack the inside. There's no other way to crack the inside since the outside is made of strengthened aluminum. A simple design change could've made the adapter a bit stronger against tugs/pulls. I have to admit though, I never had the wire yanked on before. It's more like it gets bent or twisted a bit, which will probably fracture just the same.
