Hello, I bought my apple tv in the US, but now living in Europe where the electricity voltage is higher, can I still use the apple tv?

AnswerIf you look at the bottom of your apple tv you will see that it supports 100-240V 50-60Hz. You will need a plug adapter to go from the US plug to the European plug. Also I've taken my US Apple TV to the UK to use for mirroring iPad display with no issues.

can i stream movies from a NAS i.e a synology DS212J or any other to apple tv.
I want to store all my movies on a NAS rather than on my MAC Book Pro and play through apple TV. Is this doable?

AnswerYou can only access your media from your NAS via your Mac and mirror it to your AppleTV. The AppleTV cannot access the NAS directly.

Connection questions
I have a ceiling mounted video projector which I use to watch TV and DVDs on a large 106" screen. The video runs through my receiver with component cables. There is a component cable which then runs over the ceiling to the projector. Sound comes from the receiver using an optical cable. Can I use the Apple TV to stream iPad 2 tablet content ( games, Crakle) through my receiver to the projector?? I believe I will need an HDMI to component video conversion cable (which also contains an RCA audio cable) to hookup between the Apple TV and my receiver's component IN and RCA audio IN. Will the Apple TV stream through the cable into my receiver and out of it through the component OUT cable going to my projector and using sound from my optical OUT on the receiver??

AnswerThere is no internal storage. Movies, TV shows and music are either streamed from your iCloud or from iTunes that is on a computer on your same network using Home Sharing.

AnswerIf you use a VPN service that offers servers in other countries you can use your router to connect to them. The legality of doing so, however, varies based upon the country you live and the country you connect to. In many cases, if this is necessary to reach the content you desire, then this method is not legal. Digital content distribution is often slowed by complex international laws which were written before many of the current technologies were invented. Hopefully they will someday catch up.

AnswerSure you can and with the right system it works brilliantly. I have the digital optical output of Apple TV connected into my Marantz NA7004 Network Streamer which I then use as a DAC feeding my Marantz Pearl Lite stereo amplifier. This gives me absolutely the best sound. I can then stream my music via Airplay from iTunes on my PCs and Macs, iphones and ipads as I choose. Even better I use iTunes Match service which works brilliantly across all devices provided you have a decent Internet connection and a good wifi router to avoid dropout and other hiccups.

Best AnswerNot on its own. There are no apps for any TV stations in the UK but if you have an iPhone, iPad or another device with Airplay that can access these services on the internet you can stream them to your TV via Apple TV by a process called mirroring which means your TV shows what you have on your other device.
