is it suitable for an outdoor party -  i am lending my mini boom box to a friend for an outdoor party. Would it be powerful enough

no i would not think it would work. if every one was talking , dancing , ect. and the mini boom box fits in the palm of your hand i would not think you would hear it. also, the boom box might get damaged if food got in the speaker
