can 2 GB Ram be added to a macbook with intel core 2 duo?

    It would be more helpful to state which model identifier your Macbook is (i.e: Macbook2,1 or Macbook3,1 etc.) This can be found in the system profiler.
    Regardless, the earliest Macbook with Core 2 Duo processors (Macbook2,1) supported a maximum of 3GB (x1 2GB, x1 1GB).
    From the Macbook3,1 to the Macbook 5,2 a maximum of 4GB is officially supported.
