Will this drive play DVD's from different regions - i.e. PAL?  Thanks!

    Yes, just like with the built in drives you have 5 times that you can change the region formatting of the drive, after which it's locked.

  • It depends on your DVD Player, if the region is already set and unchangeable (after 5 changes), you will only be able to play DVDs from region you last set up. Otherwise yes it will play DVDs from different regions.

  • Possibly, but if you already have a Mac try it, and it if works then I'm sure this one will work also.
