Does FM Pro 12 support Thai language input?

I've just tested this, in Thailand, on a Thai keyboard.

The central keys on each row of the keyboard (6,7; y,u; h,j; b,n) cannot be used. This means that most of the vowels are unavailable, making typing impractical.

  • The existing Unicode support in FileMaker does support and display Thai text. However, FileMaker Inc., have done no formal testing with Thai language input. There is anecdotal evidence on a number of forums that FileMaker fields will not accept the input of certain characters that are used by Thai scripts.

I would suggest downloading the 30-day trial of FileMaker Pro from their web site and testing for yourself. If you are satisfied, you can purchase the product and upgrade your installed trial to a full version.
