    A Solid State Drive is an alternative to a HDD (hard drive) which stores everything a hard drive would but it is smaller, weighs less, comes in multiple sizes ranging from 64 all the way up to around 500 Gb and here's the best part, it's a lot quicker than a hard drive, meaning the start up speed is usually phenomenal compared to HDD.
