You can listen to music and take calls all without additional microphones headsets etc. Unfortunately this product is very poor quality. On the product that I bought, the LCD screen had segments missing and the frequency up/down buttons were connected together so that in manual mode I could only adjust upwards! Both of these I could forgive but the music sound quality was appalling - something I could not forgive. No matter how much adjustment / reading of instructions the results were always the same - a very noisy signal. Also the connection to the charging socket was extremely bad. The power completely cut out sometimes when the iPhone was knocked or the car went over a speed bump. I am not usually a fussy customer but I found this product so frustrating and of such poor quality that I could not bear it. Do not buy! …

I've had one of these for a few months and to start off, I had to buy an external filter in order to not hear the feedback that comes from having the DC power and an analog jack together in the device without the filter. I would have thought, since this will happen in a number of new cars, Belkin would take this into consideration and ensure that their product had acceptible audio quality.
Second, in order to find an answer to the filter problem I had to call customer support who told me that it wasn't available yet and tried to convice me I had the FM transmitter version.
Third, it uses the data jack to charge the device and do some control but for some reason, that was probably a shortcut somewhere, they have all the audio go through the headphone jack. This means that you have to crank the volume on the iPhone to 100% to use it and then remember to turn the volume down when using it away from the car with headphones. They should have used the digital line-out through the data connection which would have have the volume issues at all.
Fourth, the microphone made me sound like I was standing far away from the phone to the people I called. I had to speak up considerably in order to be heard when using it.
Lastly, the audio quality was good up until a this morning where it now sounds terrible for both calls and listening to audio. I do not recommend this and hope I can find something that does what it claimed it was supposed to do. …

This product is great for using the aux in your car and gets your iphone charged at the same time. Belkin still needs to work on This product is great for using the aux in your car and gets your iphone charged at the same time. Belkin still needs to work on answering the calls and so forth. I figured that problem by having my motorola bluetooth device work with this product. That solved the problem as the review before this mentioned the echo was really bad well now that i use my motorola device i simply answer the calls using this bluetooth device and I am happy now. I know this device should do this but its not. I do enjoy having the holder within reach and i can listen to my music and watch the videos while i am driving and now answer calls without having to disconnect the aux from the phone as before.
I almost returned it but figured it out by using this other motorola device. I hope Belkin works on this issue. …

Wanting a hands free unit for my This was a Christmas present from my 3 children however I was at the store when it was purchased. Wanting a hands free unit for my iPhone and having just purchased a Subaru Impreza 2008, I wasn't sure what to buy but the sales person said it was the best on the market. Yesterday I installed the Tunebase with no dramas and had a number of 'test' incoming and outgoing calls. There was no echo as reported elsewhere, I followed the instructions regarding volume, the stand didn't move around, the sound was great and overall I am delighted with the product. I am able to listen to my downloaded audiobook with no drama and I'm looking forward to my long drive tomorrow to try it out full on. …
