Ratings & Reviews

  • Its....so, so

    3.0 out of 5 stars

I have to say that i wasn't too impressed with this product. The coil causes it to be more bulky then you might think, i mean its six feet of cable coiled up..thats a lot o' cable. Sound quality and construction are great, as with most Griffin products, but what i found to be most unfortunate is that the coil is too tight. I tried to stretch it out, but again great construction, so it wouldn't stay stretched out. Every time i would pick up my ipod to change the song the tight coil would pull the plug out of my AUX in my car or out of my ipod. I ended up returning it and went with a 3 foot straight wire and i love it!

  • Excellent Product

Bought this as the AT&T store. Good price. Didn't realize it fit my 2G iPhone recessed port until I examined it closer during firs t hook up in my car to my ipod. Pleasantly surprised. The coiled cord is so much better than a straight cord especially in the car - no tangles or excess cord hanging around. Easy to store in the glove box or arm rest. Perfect!, perfect!, perfect.

  • Great Cable, One Con.

    4.0 out of 5 stars

I bought this cable to use in a van. The cable itself is very durable, and unlike similar products, the wire casing does not split away from the connector head when used for a long period of time.
My only complaint is that the cable is very hard to break in (stretch), so I've had to find creative ways to rest my 3GS in the van while it.
This cable is ideal for someone who's vehicle has an aux port that is located near the center console, or a cup holder, otherwise your phone will just dangle to and fro while you drive.
If the cable ever loosens up a little and I can rest it in a cup holder or something, I'll change this to a 5 star review.

  • No Good For iPhone 5

This product does not work correctly with the new iPhone 5 - if anyone has found an auxiliary cord that does fit correctly, I'd ap preciate hearing about it!

  • Does what it promises and the plug is better than most products have

    4.0 out of 5 stars

Sound quality is okay for my ears, I can't really tell the difference to other analog cables I've tried. The twisted cable is a pl us in a way that it won't be such a mess when it's not used, but it's a bit annoying to hold the device for a longer time from a distance since the cord obviously pulls back... The best thing however in this cord is the connector which works with most iPhone cases/covers, too. Usually the plug is flat so it doesn't go deep enough, but the Griffin cable has a metal extension after the flat plastic so it has worked with all the different cases I've had. A big plus for that.

I bought this to use in my ford fiesta, 2011 for my Iphone 4s. While I find it does work, the quality of sound is not that great, it's loose fitting and the lead is way too small, not extendable enough. Waste of money really. Very disappointing for an apple product. I previously used one I bought from Halford's which worked much better.
