Product Information

  • Overview

Beats Pro Over-Ear Headphones are made for heavy-duty use in the studio or in the club. Delivering superb audio, Beats Pro headphones give you deep bass response and sound across the spectrum. That's because they use no amplification or noise cancellation circuitry that adds other frequencies, colours the sound or compromises bass response.

    The sound of the studio

By putting back the quality lost in modern-day file compression, Beats Pro headphones let you hear music the way it was originally heard by the artist in the studio.

    Clear highs and deep lows

Steel and aluminium construction gives you a solid interior sound platform that provides the kind of bass that resonates deep in your chest when you play your music.

Tough, durable – built to last

No cheap plastic, no frayed cords. Beats Pro headphones are made with an aluminium gun metal frame with a black matte anodized finish, encasing overstuffed leather earcups.

    True noise reduction

Heavily padded, pivoting ear cups give you a noise-cancelling effect without the need for power switches or batteries. It’s the real studio monitor experience in a headphone.

    Easy to share

Plug your headphone cable into one earcup and the other automatically switches into output mode, letting your friends hear what you hear.

Over all perfo I actually have both the Studio and the Pro version and I have to say the Pros give a much crisper and clean sound. Over all performance is flat out better and with the aluminum frame and parts they are pretty bullet proof other than one thing I did find frustrating. If you choose to take off the ear cushions or pop one off accidentally they are one real pain to secure back on. I probably sat there for a solid 30 minutes trying different techniques before I got all the inner latches to click in place. I will admit there is probably a proper technique to this. I do like the option of being able to use the input port on either the left of right ear piece and really like the fact they don't take batteries. I can't even count the times I have put away my Studios with he power on to find them dead the next time (really a pain when on a long flight or trip).

There are two HUGE advantages the Studios DO have over the Pros and here they are. 1) The Studios are significantly lighter than the Pros . The Pros are actually so heavy that I can only take 30 min of them before I have to adjust the head piece to another spot on my head which usually compromises the ear cup seal a bit . 2) The Studio's noise canceling feature is very advantages when on a place or another setting where you really want to take yourself "away" a bit.

All and all they both have their pros and cons but considering the Pros are $100 more and have the weight problem I would definitely recommend the Studios.

It goes down to around 8 Hz of bass. The build quality of these headphones are great. They are made of metal, and have leather earcups and a leather headband. The sound is amazing on these. Well done Monster!

I don't mind paying the high price I bought my Beats Pro for about 6 months now, I'm still very satisfied with the sound quality. I don't mind paying the high price for this headphone, but the poor thing is that they don't come with a good hard headphone case to protect it which makes it very difficult to travel around with this headphone.

Let me start by saying I probably own far too many headphones - Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ear, Sennheiser Amperior, Audio Technica Let me start by saying I probably own far too many headphones - Sennheiser Momentum Over-Ear, Sennheiser Amperior, Audio Technica ATH M50, Parrot Zik, Bose QC20i etc....you get the idea. I finally relented and added the Beats Pro to my over-flowing closet. And they may actually be my favourite headphone of the lot. If you know about headphones then that's quite some praise! I admit they aren't the most comfortable or most accurate sounding of my collection. But they make you feel like you are AT the concert. I like that. A lot. They have the best bass of the lot - strong, punchy but never muddy or overly excessive. The highs are a smidgeon rolled off but that is actually pleasing for higher volume listening (my M50's are utterly painful at high volumes). In comparison to the the Pro's, my Momentum's sound utterly boring with mediocre dynamics and non-existent highs. The Amperior's are similar in dynamics to the Pro's but don't dig into the lows in the same way, and their soundstage is non-existent. I could go on and on about the pros and cons of each headphone but trust me when I say that for most popular music genres the Beats Pro's are near the top of the pile. Coming from an audio geek (and Engineer) that is somewhat unexpected but it's the truth. If you can afford them, go for it.
