Thin, minimal design.
The slim, yet sturdy Smart Cover protects your iPad mini screen without covering up its durable aluminium back. So your iPad mini still looks and feels like an iPad — just with a little extra protection.

The Smart Cover comes in six vibrant polyurethane colours with a soft, colour-matched microfibre lining that keeps your display clean.
Wake on open. Sleep on close.
Open the iPad mini Smart Cover, and iPad mini magically wakes up. Close it, and iPad mini automatically goes to sleep.

I actually own this product!
Unlike the reviewers before me, I have actually used the Smart Cover. Seriously, how can you write a review about something that h asn't been sold yet?
The case does a great job in protecting the screen.
The magnets work well - my iPad Mini has turned on and off correctly every time.
The cover works well as a stand...not terrific but okay.
The red is a great colour.
If you're looking for something to provide all over protection, this likely wont work for you but as a cover for your Mini screen, it does the job. …

It is what it is
I wrote this because the 2 reviews I read were from people that didn't have one. I have a red one and just got the mini. It is f or the screen and the fact that it turns off the ipad is pretty cool. There are limited cases out there right now. This is good. …

This is a great case. I love the lack of metal where it magnets to the iPad mini. It is very bright red, almost unrealistic how r ed it actually is!

I love this bright red cover for my iPad Mini. It is vibrant, protective and convenient when I'm at my bed, in class, or at a des k. Recommend this product for anyone with an iPad Mini. Though it's price may seem steep, if you have the extra cash, I would definitely recommend this. …

Looses its magnetism
This product was great when it came out of the box but as months have passed it looses more and more of its magnetism and causes t wo issues!
#1 when it covers the screen in the off position the iPad mini keeps on clicking on and off defeating the purpose of it saving its battery.
#2 The stand is no longer strong enough to hold the iPad mini up straight.
I just wish that Apple would insert a more solid magnet or replace the item! …

Design disappointment and very expensive.
Yes, it is a cover of sorts, though completely inferior to the leather version I had on my iPad 2. The magnet is not strong enoug h, it does'nt stand up and the material and colours are poor quality. The polyurethane covered hinge is a disaster and has a very short shelf life. Apple need to look to their designers and see what is going wrong. You can't afford this sort of slide in quality in a market rife with impressive competition. …
