Product Information

  • With the Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader, it's easy to download photos and videos from your digital camera to your iPad or iPad mini so you can view them on the gorgeous iPad display and share them with family and friends.

After you insert the SD card into the reader, your iPad automatically opens the Photos app, which lets you choose which photos and videos to import, then organizes them into albums. When you sync iPad or iPad mini to your PC or Mac, the photos and videos on your iPad are added to your computer's photo library.

The Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader supports standard photo formats, including JPEG and RAW, along with SD and HD video formats, including H.264 and MPEG-4.

Use this with a card to keep X ammount of videos to watch and upload at whim to my mini to watch, also use SD card as a photo library. basically this makes your ipad mini into a much larger platform for getting vids and pics onto it without having your computer at hand to upload new / diff vids or photos from. which is perfect for travel where you want a HUGE GB of vids to upload to watch on your ipad mini.

I bought this for my new iPad mini. You should insert the card in the reader, then insert into iPad. No problem with transfer.

Absolute garbage. Doesn't recognise SD card is there. Not managed to transfer a single picture. Will have to connect camera to Mac Absolute garbage. Doesn't recognise SD card is there. Not managed to transfer a single picture. Will have to connect camera to MacBook. Total waste of money. Happens too often. I'm done with Apple, and will switch back to PC when I next change. Didn't used to mind the extra cost associated with Apple when the quality was here, but it's not anymore. Take a look at half the rubbish on AppStore as well. Quality control has been reduced to zero.

Nothing p I think those that say "nothing happens" are unaware that you have to go into your photos and press the "import" button. Nothing pops up when you insert the SD card. I use mine with a iPad Mini Retina and a 64gb SanDisk with no issues. I even move the entire DCIM folder from my cf cards to the SD card and am able to import images from my DSLR. The ONLY wish item I have is that this would work on the iPhone as well. Other than that no issues.
