More control at your fingertips.
Magic Trackpad gives you a whole new way to control what’s on your Mac desktop computer. When you perform gestures, you actually interact with what’s on your screen. You feel closer to your content, and moving around feels completely natural. Swiping through pages on screen is just like flipping through pages in a magazine, and inertial scrolling senses the momentum in your fingers as you move up and down a page.
More to touch, more to love.
Your fingers will fall for the Magic Trackpad. It’s made with smooth, wear-resistant glass that feels great to the touch. And it’s nearly 80 percent larger than the built-in trackpad on the MacBook Pro, giving you plenty of room to perform gestures. Because the entire surface of Magic Trackpad is a button, you can click on objects just as you would using a traditional mouse. And Magic Trackpad sits at the same height and angle as the Apple Wireless Keyboard, so you can go from trackpad to keyboard in one seamless motion.
Bluetooth technology.
Magic Trackpad connects to your Mac via Bluetooth wireless technology. Use it in conjunction with the Apple Wireless Keyboard for a cable-free, uncluttered workspace. And if you feel like venturing away from your desk, Magic Trackpad maintains a reliable and secure connection up to 33 feet away from your Mac.

Surfin' from the couch! SWEET!
As soon as I saw this thing, I bought it. I use my Mac Mini hooked to a 42" HDTV, so using a mouse from the couch is pretty terrib le. Even nice mice like the magic mouse have trouble tracking unless I use a lap desk and mouse pad, which isn't the most comfortable solution. With this, I can surf in comfort and give all of my iMac-using buddies Mac envy!
Besides, with all of the multitouch gestures on the pad, this is the most versatile pointing device Apple makes! Here's hoping they make an iOS-based Apple TV and then make the touchpad a gaming controller too! …- Written by Richard F from Lancaster

Great idea!
After purchasing the new magic mouse I thought it would be a replacement for my new MBP multi-touch trackpad, but it didn't allow all of the same features. This is a great addition to my bluetooth keyboard & compliments my Waycom pad for photo work. I'm not sure if it's really 'worth' the upgrade over the magic mouse, but it is nice to have such a large gesture-based surface, much like the iPad. Props to Apple for thinking outside the box on this one, although the possibility & 'idea' of this technology could have happened a few years ago. …

finally, an ergonomic film editing solution
I use a Macbook Pro for editing films and use a stand to bring it's screen closer to eye level. I've had an editing keyboard for s ome time that is suspended from the desk just above my knees but I had to reach up the the MBP to use the trackpad. This Magic Trackpad is the gadget I've been asking Apple for! …

Easy to use
I recently bought an external 27" monitor hooked up to my Macbook Air and found the non Apple mouse I was using rather inadequate. I bought the Magic Trackpad and absolutely love using it with the natural gestures etc. I'm even able to use it from my bed, thus turning the monitor etc into a 'home theatre' set up. …

Trackpad Awesome for Limited mobility
I love the Magic Trackpad. I am right handed, and my right hand has limited use and movement, and I find that the trackpad works awesome, since I can just use the two fingers that work well on my right hand instead of the whole hand to move the mouse. …

Best Mac accessory I have ever owned!!!
As someone who has been using Apple products since 1985 or so it goes without saying I have used my share of Apple products. The M agic Trackpad is, by far, my favorite Mac accessory I have ever owned. I already use a MacBook Pro with multi touch of course running Mountain Lion for work so the gestures have long since become second nature. But when I purchased my brand new Quad Core i7 Mac Mini and was using my old Mighty Mouse (yes Mighty, not Magic) it was like stepping back in time and while my Mighty Mouse served me well for a long time I knew I needed the upgrade. Holy moly am I glad I did. For one the build of it, like everything Apple really, is just so solid and legit. The design is beautiful and simplistic, again like all things Apple and the responsiveness is just astounding. And again, I am someone who is certainly not new to the product. Truly the Magic Trackpad lives up to its name. Couple all of that with the excellent gestures built in to Mountain Lion and this is, hands down, my favorite Mac accessory ever. A+++. Thank you Apple for making my life better and easier once again. …

Does the magic trackpad work better than the magic mouse?
- Asked by Nicolaas S from Rumford
- Jan 14, 2011
Best Answer
Well, for me personally, I never unpacked my Magic Mouse after working with my Magic Trackpad for a few hours. However, that's subjective and merely my own opinion. I have read that some people like to use both, depending on what they do on their Mac's.
Battery life is also not that great with the Trackpad. I purchased the Apple battery charger and believe me, between the wireless keyboard, the Magic Mouse, and the Trackpad, it won't take long until it will pay for itself. …- Answered by Jack T from Los Angeles

can you right click with the magic trackpad ?
- Asked by Paul N from Oakville
- Mar 11, 2011
Best Answer
Yes, you certainly can. You can assign the lower left or lower right area of the Trackpad to act as the right click and you can also check "Secondary tap" under the Two finger options. This means that whenever you tap two fingers at the same time, the system will recognize that as the right click.
It's very easy to configure what you want one, two, three, and even four finger tapping and swiping to accomplish. System Preferences is where these configurations are made. …- Answered by Jack T from Los Angeles
